Pandering because they made Cid a female, hah. If she ends up being Shelly, though, that's fine. If she has a lot of breast visible, the developers are misogynistic. If she's flat chested, the developers are pedophiles. If she has breasts that are covered up, we're all good? Unless her personality is in any way unflattering to any demographic...hm.

Everyone not giving a shit is certainly the better option.

I think it's neat simply because if she is Cid it'll be a little different from what we've seen before. Just as FF12 Cid was cool because he was the first villain Cid.

There is a big difference between working it in as part of the character and creating a character just to pander. This doesn't come off as forced, so I don't see any issue with it.

We already have the boy band trope going, I don't mind a green ranger/6th member character combining that lone female with the alchemist/machinist feel of the Cids.

Would be kinda cool if she ends up as the designer or mechanic for the Genesis Climber Mospeada car.

This trailer is a LOT better. just as I had hoped more voice time would give better range and emotion. It sounds 1000000x better. Starting to feel a little hype.
