Nah, they'll get shoved onto XIV for recovery mode to float in some more cash since DQX and XIV is their main revenue.

If XV tanks, VII remake is going to recover any loses XV bring since even if the game is bad, people are so die hard for VII they'll gobble that game up in a heartbeat.

At the end of the day everything that has been shown so far on the game play front looks good. Story wise it'll just depend on how much control was given to Nomura. As much as I like Kingdom Hearts it and XIII show why Nomura really shouldn't have full creative control over narrative.

Oh yeh I actually forgot about the FF7 remake haha, it's been a while since I heard from it.
The battle system guy boasts about it having the best battle system in the video, lets hold him to that!
I too think it will be good, but I guess with all the happy faces on the camera it suddenly made me realise how much time and love these guys put on it, and then I suddenly had an empathy overflow and got paranoid about them lol (in most SE games besides a few key staff such as the director, designer and music guy, we don't hear or see any of them!)
The iron giant that was idling on this one dude's screen was cool, must be some sandbox/debug mode. As with the chocobo one too, was cute how zoomed in it was.

Nomura had nothing to do with XIII's story. He was just lead character designer. KH's story, while a bit of a cluster fuck when it's all separated, is actually pretty solid when it's all pieced together.
Honestly, at this point I'm not really worried about FFXV's success at all. They've promoted it and hyped it so fucking hard at this point that the sales will be alright even if the game doesn't get great reviews.

in all honestly the game could come out and be shit, SE has already made a ton of money. 30,000 copies of the collectors addition for 270$. Just from those SE made 8million, not all profit but i'm sure they've recuperated alot of what they've put into the game for the last 10 years, they're also going to produce more collectors additions lol… So yeah it could royally suck but SE will make all their money back and then some. 8 million is a drop in the bucket compared to their budget for this game. XIII was 65 million just for development, and some sneaking suspicion tells me this one is significantly more. And then there's marketing. And paying off that free anime bullshit. Originally Posted by arioch

Final Fantasy XV - HOLY SHIT THERE'S ACTUALLY NEWS 2.0
If anything, I'm worried the army of individuals working on this game have poor communication amongst one another. That was probably XIII's biggest downfall. One section was on record saying they had no idea what the other section was doing. Want to say it was the art team and the level design team? It was the biggest reason why the majority of the game played like a tunnel simulator.

From the info we've been given over the years I don't think that is really the case, the disconnect the teams have with eachother is probably what was done over the years and left in the dev. room for 2-3 years before being picked back up... hopfully they left a bunch of good comment notes.

I really want to be excited for this game, but the gameplay is turning me off even after all the adjustments between Duscae and the Platinum Demo...
Will still pick up because it's FF and all but... lowering my expectations drastically.
