Okay so cyberpunk/neo-medieval Catholicism + vampires?
Fuck yes. Looks fucking godawful, but fuck yes.
Paul Bettany plays another kung-fu Catholic? Bah.
Looks like Judge Dredd with a rosary.
legion 2?
The Korean manhwa (comic) version of this was a really good read back a few years ago. The trailer shows the basics of a few of the villians as well as some added details. I'm looking forward to this even if the quality looks rather bad.
At first I confused this with Preacher, so I got all excited.
Then I saw the Judge Dredd meets Blade meets Special Effects Catastrophe trailer. I cried a little.
Holy crap that animation segment was unbelievably badass, wish the whole movie was like that but definitely going to check this out anyway lol.
The animator is the same guy that animated Dexter's Laboratory, Samurai Jack, & Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
It looks utterly dreadful.
I will go see it.
I cant watch this.... everytime I see the guy from legion I see the freaking icecream man from legion...
Cant wait, maybe shit but it's going to be glorious shit
Train scene
*Bump* Since it came out yesterday in the US. Any BGers see it?
Curse my job for having to work all weekend long, I'm planning to see it on Monday. When I first saw the poster at the theater I thought it would be an Assassin's Creed-type of story. I was way off the mark but it still looks interesting.
Saw it. I liked it. Still trying to decide it is worth the theater for the sound and visuals or just worth a rental. Definitely not worth the 3D (we did the 3D cuz we didnt want to wait an hour.) It was refreshing that they kept it at about 90 mins long. So many films nowadays like to stretch out over two hours even though they only have 90 mins of content.
Bit of trivia: The person who plays the girl they are trying to rescue is the daughter of Phil Collins.
It was ok, but I really was pissed it ended where it did. It needed another 30 minutes, and not stretch, but actual additional material at the end. Especially since it's looking really tight if it will manage to squeak up enough box office to justify a sequel, it's not making Resident Evil tier worldwide grosses.
Saw it last night, it was ok. Felt very fast paced and I left the movie feeling like it needed more and was empty. I thought the whole climax came far too soon and was resolved very quickly.
