Matrix 4 and 5? I'm still in denial of 2 and 3..
They don't exist in my world.

I know these sequels don't exist. And I know that the Matrix is telling my brain that they were mindblowing and amazing. After 12 years, you know what I have learned? Ignorance is bliss.

Things have been pretty quiet since we first reported the story of Keanu Reeves announcing the news of a third Bill and Ted's movie. Soon after that news dropped, Alex Winter shared some details, but today we have some more news thanks to our friends at MTV.
While doing press for Henry's Crime, Reeves gave the following update and said, "I believe the writers are six weeks away from a draft. No pressure, guys!" He goes on to offered some details about the film's plot.
He then goes on to reveal that the plot ties directly into the ending of Bogus Journey, when Bill and Ted's Wyld Stallyns became the best band in the universe."I know a little bit. But I don't know — the fellas went off and cooked it up. I don't know what happened when they put the elements together."
"When we last got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written the song that saved the world, and it hasn't happened," he said. "So they've now become kind of possessed by trying to do that. Then there's an element of time and they have to go back."

We've been hearing about a third Bill & Ted movie being in development for about a year now, both Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter have been talking about it, and a script that was being written. We've learned today the the script for the movie is finally complete! Winter recently revealed the news in a tweet answering a users question saying,
Last year Reeves said that Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, who wrote the first two installments we're the two guys working on the next film. Reeves also gave a little rundown of what the story might be about in a previous report,“@antmaurizio: Bill & Ted 3, less than 6 weeks away and counting? Movie is gonna kick some ass.” > Just got the script. And now to read…
I'm excited to see another Bill & Ted movie, as long as it's stupidly entertaining like the first to I'll be happy. I think it will just be awesome to see Reeves and Winter back together again. And I would just love to see Reeves reprise that role. Chance are if Winter has a copy of the script so does Reeves. It would be great to see this film go into production soon. When we last got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written the song that saved the world, and it hasn’t happened… So they’ve now become kind of possessed by trying to do that. Then there’s an element of time and they have to go back.

Sounds awesome :D
Pity it's so far away, interested to see how they're going to work out how much older the two look lol. Make-up & editing should be fine though.
http://geektyrant.com/news/2012/3/5/...-finished.htmlAre you ready to travel through time and space with your favorite duo? If yes, then you are in luck because the Bill & Ted 3 script is finally complete. The news was confirmed by both Keanu Reeves and Alex Winters. Here is what Reeves had to say when he spoke with The Independent:
Winter stated the following in a tweet:Yeah, we have a script. We're trying to put it together. It's a good script too.
The story for the third film will revolve around "Bill and Ted trying to fulfill their combined destiny of writing the song that saves the world."Script done? Check. -We love it? Check. -Green light? Working on it!

I thought it was already Green Lit? Hmm, either way, I cannot wait ! Won't be the same without Rufus though
https://geektyrant.com/news/2012/8/1...-director.htmlFor those of you who didn't think we'd ever see that third Bill and Ted movie... think again. It just landed a director! Both Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter are set to return for a third film in the franchise, which is seriously one of the most awesome things ever! To make things even better original Bill and Ted creators and writers of this third film Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson have hired Dean Parisot to direct it. Who's that you ask? He directed a great little sci-fi comedy called Galaxy Quest!
I'm very happy that this is not going to be a remake or a reboot, because that could have easily happened. Instead this will be a direct sequel that shows us where Mssrs. Ted Theodore Logan and Bill S. Preston, Esq. are in their lives today. As a fan of the first two films, I'm really looking forward to this! I'm a little shocked that it's actually happening. Honestly, who would have thought we would get a third Bill and Ted movie with the original actors back to reprise their roles? So cool.
We don't know much about the plot, but Reeves did have this to say in a previous interview...
We also heard that the Grim Reaper will most likely be back as well. Parisot will be directing the sequel to RED first, before tackling Bill and Ted 3.When we last got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written the song that saved the world, and it hasn't happened. So they've now become kind of possessed by trying to do that. Then there's an element of time and they have to go back.

sequel to RED?! fuck yea loved that movie creepy old stalker Bruce is awesome.
https://geektyrant.com/news/2012/8/1...t-details.htmlIf you haven't heard already, Bill and Ted 3 is happening, and it was announced last week that Galaxy Quest director Dean Parisot would be bringing it to the big screen. In a recent interview with GQ, Keanu Reeves offered up a few more details on the story that we'll see in the film, and it sounds like classic Bill and Ted!
The second half of what he says is the new information...
One of the plot points is that these two people have been crushed by the responsibility of having to write the greatest song ever written and to change the world, and they haven't done it. So everybody is kind of like: 'Where is the song?'
The guys have just drifted off into esoterica and lost their rock. And we go on this expedition, go into the future to find out if we wrote the song, and one future 'us' refuses to tell us, and another future 'us' blames us for their lives because we didn't write the song, so they're living this terrible life. In one version we're in jail; in another we're at some kind of highway motel and they hate us.

2012 was a surprisingly big year when it came to news about "Bill & Ted 3." But after nearly a year without any more talk about the project, Keanu Reeves recently spoke with Today about shooting the movie next year at the age of 50.
“I’m open to the idea of that,” Reeves said. “I think it’s pretty surreal, playing "Bill & Ted" at 50. But we have a good story in that. You can see the life and joy in those characters, and I think the world can always use some life and joy.”
He wouldn’t get into any details about the script, but he confirm that it’s complete. “Yeah, there’s a story; there’s a script,” he said. “We’re trying to get the dough together to make this crazy story.”
News broke in August 2012 that Reeves and co-star Alex Winter were attached to star in a film, penned by the original writers Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson. "Galaxy Quest" and "RED 2" director Dean Parisot was also attached.
It's Happening!https://www.npr.org/sections/thereco...as-dad-rockersAfter 27 years, Bill and Ted are on their way back to close the time loop in a new film, Bill and Ted Face the Music.
In it, according to the synopsis, Bill and Ted "find themselves as middle-aged dads still trying to crank out a hit song and fulfill their destiny." If your memory is as hazy as Jeff Spicoli's, you'd be forgiven for not recalling that, through Excellent Adventure and up until the tail-end of the franchise's second film Bogus Journey, Bill and Ted were decidedly heinous at creating music, despite the fate of the Earth depending on them, like, not being. Old habits die, it seems evident, with much difficulty.
"We have been working ten years to get this done in the right way," co-creator and co-writer Ed Solomon wrote on Twitter. In an interview last month, Keanu Reeves (Ted) said the film was first pitched to him and co-star Alex Winter (Bill) in 2007 and is now, while still in pre-production, currently being shopped at Cannes.
The new film, Solomon says, is "kinda like A Christmas Carol with Bill and Ted." The pair are now middle-aged family men, perhaps still kicking around San Dimas. The difference this time is that — in a very post-Marvel upping of the ante — it's not the Earth that needs saving, but the entire universe.
