The one thing I'm worried about happening to these guys is running out of endurance or supplies. They've been out there like what 12 days now? :/ Gotta be taking a huge toll on them now. I certainly hope they endure and succeed however.
Now that the crowd's swelled again I'd imagine their supplies and will to continue have been reinforced. This whole thing has been absolutely amazing and inspiring.

Watching the AJE feed for a lil bit here.. the entire crowd went straight from the end of prayer back into chanting as if they were still praying. And now they're saying Alexandria's got a giant crowd going too.

I'm probably a bit high in my estimate but by the end of the day, I'm guessing that across Egypt, 5 million of the 80 million population will be out and shouting for Mubarak to gtfo.

I can't confirm, but it seems that unlike the thug attack days, people are able to get a steady stream of supplies into the square now.

It looks like nobody is going to go to the presidential palace.
I can't find any news about if the government will respond at all today.
Ah, I see! I haven't been able ot keep too close of an eye on it today as I've been having to work on a PC. I just knew a day or two ago the Pro-mub thugs were trying to block supplies coming in and the protesters were pleading for people to bring supplies in. Glad to hear they aren't having such a problem with it anymore.

One really annoying thing I think it was three days ago they had this asian woman on Al Jazeera and she just kept asking the dumbest fucking questions lol. Stuff like "do you think the women and children can get hurt like everyone else" "he (Mub) offered to step down in September don't you think that's good enough and you should stop the protest" "why aren't you running when people are shooting so close to you" (yes, I realize that one is somewhat legit question, but just seemed kind of retarded and insulting to them basically asking why aren't you being a coward >_>).

If they just left and took him up on leaving in September nothing would change I imagine. It's hard as hell to mobilize this amount of people with this much dedication and spirit, and doing it a second time is highly unlikely, and that was the point of offering to leave in Sept. That gets the crowd to break, and then even if he doesn't they probably won't manage to pull it off a second time. Which is why it is dumb of the reporter expecting them to accept this as a solution (IMO obviously, ymmv).

Based on colour scans on wednessday/#1Tuesday there was 2million+- people be4 the vilonce, i'm gonna say this march is going to have much more than 2million, and even based on what i've seen i'd say there more than what was there on wednessday

Looks like things are doing well in Alexandria & Tahrir. Sighting of some astro-activists on Oct6 bridge but there is heavy army support there.

Edit nevermind, just got this tweet from AJE twitter:
At least 200 pro-Mubarak loyalists are on the 6th of October bridge just outside #Tahrir Square in Cairo. http://aje.me/egyptblog #Egypt

    AJE Liveblog from link above:
3:12pm At least 200 pro-Mubarak loyalists are on the 6th of October bridge just outside Tahrir Square in Cairo.
Also live on the AJE feed is describing small skirmishes 300 or so pro mub ppl near Museum, main streets of downtown Cairo.

Things are MUCH safer today, now that the army is finally fucking doing it's job.

But, it doesn't seem like government is showing much of a reaction.

Hah.. AJE has a side-by-side of State TV and the live feed from the square, and the narrator on State TV claims there's only 3000 people protesting.

Scrolls saying the Interior Minister's been put on a no-travel list and had his assets frozen while several of his deputies are under arrest.. expected it since that department is in charg of the police/thugs that were attacking the past couple days but not this soon.

Looks like the army's also repositioning on the roads between the square and the museum/palace area.
Edit: The army was chasing down people away from the square, either more pro-govt or pro-arab thugs? wtf..

Supposedly Egyptian State TV is actually airing one of the pro-demo protesters who is reading a statement, if so that's huge

The only thing that is sure, is yeah, a protester is speaking freely on STATE TV, which is unimaginable.
    Beyond that, it's all rumor.

If the propaganda machine is caving in to reality, it's only a matter of time before Mubarak finally gives up.

Edit: I guess it was a little too good to be true. This "protestor" that was speaking on state tv was claiming that the Muslim Brotherhood was running the show.

The continued discussion about how Egypt would actually transition is kind of worrisome as it seems like a military-run interim government with elections to follow would be the only guarantee they would have that they'd see the results they want given they already know their government is willing to stuff ballot boxes and shoot it's own people and that has to be disheartening to wonder if just Mubarak leaving would really cease all of the corruption.

Also, had to laugh when I saw these 3 stories lined up next to each other lol

General Secretary of the NDP talking to BBC, "There was no secret police in the crowd. The western media is part of a conspiracy against egypt. The people in Liberation Square do not represent Egypt, the silent majority is at home. There will be millions in the streets very soon because enough is enough... President Mubarak is not stepping down. I am sorry for the day we really thought the west really cared about egypt"

Has egypt been betrayed by the west?
"Yes the whole country is being betrayed by the west, not just the president, the whole country"

    Baghdad Bob would be proud

In other news, Egypt is losing an estimated 310 million US per day according to one egyptian bank's estimates.
