I feel kinda cheap being a Pyro. I can kill some of the non respawning mini bosses with fireballs :< Just raped the Boar with them and then the black knight at the start of Undead Parish.

Also, got my copy today. Stroke of luck that I decide to help my ma with some shopping and that the local Wally had only CE copies of the game in. The tin case is fucking gorgeous.

That's your hollow/undead form. Once you gain humanity, you can reverse it at bonfires and you'll look like yourself.

@Silentleroy: it's the dagger I think. If you check th critical stat on weapons most weapons are 100 but daggers are like 170ish.

Anyone know where to get a solid shield earlier in the game? Does the merchant in the Burg sell good shields? Didn't really extensively browse his wares.

There is the Knight's Shield I believe just a bit past the Boar, near the Parish. There is a shield in the graveyard just below the Firelink Shrine as well.

Fuck, I almost just cried. The guy who drops the Ring of Favor and protection fell off the side of the cliff. I quickly reset and luckily the drop was right where he was sitting earlier @_@

This thing boosts HP, stamina and load by 20% each. It says it breaks when removed so I'm never ever taking it off lol.

Is there a NG+ in this? I'm mainly deciding if I want to start over and grab that one story item instead of the master key. No stat resets either I presume.

I'd roll Thief to get the key regardless, but I like Wanderer.

Yes, NG+ is the same as it was in Demon's Souls. Beat the game, start over with character/items/souls. Everything but the keys you have found I believe.

Man, I feel fucking retarded. For the first 6 hours of the game I kept going to the wrong paths. I started out as a Thf so I have the Master Key. First, I went to the dragon area. I knew the dragon would come to life and kill me but i wasn't sure how till I saw a blood stain appear at my feet so I was able to walk past him and get one of the 3 items he was sleeping on. Died to the mini drakes after that.

Though to myself, "Let's try a different area". Went to the graveyard, managed to kill a skeleton, thought I was badass, saw it COME BACK TO FUCKING LIFE. Ran my ass through the graveyard making every skeleton chase me, both big and small. Managed to get all the treasure and shit there. Made it to the that place past the graveyard.(I forget the name) Barely managed to make it down a few floors. Fucking exploding head thingies.

Oh, and I forgot about the ghosts. Went down the stairs, saw the water path, picked up that shit that lets you fight the ghosts, got killed by a ghost within seconds after using one of them. Thought to myself "Maybe they can only hurt me when I have the stuff active", tried the area again, died. Said fuck it, ran my ass through to all the lights I could see, got all the loot I could. Got that fire Keeper soul, decided to never go back there again.

Back at camp, tried the drake area again, noticed the cave with the trolls. Saw a tip thing that said to "lure them out". Made sure to only aggro one at a time. Made it through there pretty easily. Did a lot of Riposte attacks and attacked them when they were attacking for epic dmg. Got to the fucked up bugs part. Tried my best to get behind the spiders at all times. Managed to kill them without dying. Then the Mosquitos, died. Tried to make it back but it's like the trolls got smarter and used their swing attack a lot more and didn't use their strike attack.

Finally after many hours of repeating those areas, I see some stairs to the left of the firepit. Facepalmed. Went up it, made it through, got to the boss, got him down to 3%, died, swore very loudly.

God damn, I love this game

Heh, I started out the same. Went down the elevator, found a path that led to some cliffs, saw that dragon there with two glowing items. I ever so cautiously tip toed over knowing that I'd be one-shotted, and nabbed the sword/shield before it woke up and rape the shit out of me.

Thankfully I noticed that upper staircase after trying two other paths. Been exploring every nook and cranny in that cramped town area. Lovin' the game other than the same problem I had with Demon's Souls: The game doesn't give a shit about you needing to take a shit.

^ oh man i feel your pain, i thought the graveyard was the first area i was supposed to go to. died to the opening skeletons for like 45 min to an hour before i decided to look elsewhere and found the path up to undead burg

Finally free from Blight Town. Took way longer to get out than it did to get in, horrible place and I never want to go back there. It's like 5-2 in Demon's Souls, if 5-2 had super AIDs.
