Fantastic stat-crunching article about how much "support" a QB got from his running game and his defense (or lack thereof) vs. how he performed in the playoffs career-wise. Shows which QBs received the most team support in the playoffs (Dilfer, Plunkett, Starr, Theismann) and who has received the least (Garcia, Moon, Marino, Kreig) throughout their careers. Doesn't count this season's playoffs unfortunately, but it's interesting to see which QBs outperformed their "support" and which QBs underperformed it.

Anything -2.0 or worse is considered to be an "impossible" game for a QB to win - only two QBs have ever won a game with -2.0 support or worse (and both were exactly -2.0).

For example, in the 51-45 loss to the Cardinals last year, Aaron Rodgers was receiving -3.5 in support. Kurt Warner, in that game, received -1.0 in support. (both defenses gave up tons of points and the Cardinals out-rushed the packers by 67 yards)

edit: Decided to calculate the support for Matty Ice from the Packers game. Total standard deviations came out to -1.87, making it a "difficult" game(QBs win 9% of these games on average) and very close to an "impossible" game. His first playoff start against eventual NFC champs Zona was also a "difficult" game. tl;dr get off his jock.
