First off, I'd like to personally thank you for taking the time to view our recruitment post! We are all friends, if not a small virtual family, who have been here since the start of Final Fantasy XIV.

Just to answer a few common questions you may have, here are a few we've compiled and answered for you. So, here we go!

What is Aesir's main focus?
We are primarily an event linkshell based in the United States time zones. We do have other members in EU, but generally event times are extremely late in the EU zone. We are a social, as well, but we greatly support event participation.

What events do you do?
We do experience (skill) point parties, R40 guildleve runs, faction NMs, and free roaming NMs. We do have a DKP system in place for when new endgame events do reveal themselves. Only official events on the linkshell calendar merit DKP accumulation.

How many members do you currently have?
We currently have 66 total members in the shell. However, the active member total would be more around 20-30; about half. We are looking for very active members, currently.

Are there rules?
Not many, but some you need to be aware of:
-We are adult oriented.
-We will not tolerate any seriously offensive comments to other members.
-Each of our members are a representation of Aesir and, as such, we wish to maintain a good standing with other Final Fantasy XIV players and linkshells.

What's with the multiple leaders?
Since we have many members across the world, the leader located in North America cannot be online 24/7. Thus, there are sub-leaders and other officers located in different regions to better assist all of our members.

What if I need to contact a leader, and they are not online?
The best way is through the forums, the leaders and officers check them daily.

A few changes since the original post.

What events do you do?
We do experience (skill) point parties, R40 guildleve runs, faction NMs, and free roaming NMs. We do have a DKP system in place for when new endgame events do reveal themselves. Only official events on the linkshell calendar merit DKP accumulation.

We have already setup out line-up for Instanced Raids, which might be replacing some Guildleve Nights that we do weekly. These won't replace NM nights, because we only do them once a week, as is.

How many members do you currently have?
We currently have 66 total members in the shell. However, the active member total would be more around 20-30; about half. We are looking for very active members, currently.

After a semi-recent purging of inactive members, we have been able to keep a very steady, active 35-40 members.

Are there rules?
Not many, but some you need to be aware of:
-We are adult oriented.
-We will not tolerate any seriously offensive comments to other members.
-Each of our members are a representation of Aesir and, as such, we wish to maintain a good standing with other Final Fantasy XIV players and linkshells.

This is still the same. Again, though, we have really restricted our recruiting requirements. It is required you have a class @ R35+, some MMO background history, Ventrilo use during Instances will be a must, and be active within the Linkshell.


We still strive for fun and excitement during our events, but not at the cost of quality. If you have any questions, please direct them here or on our site, as most of the Aesir site is available for public viewing.
