And who wasn't playing that game lol? Analogy still applies, stupid/shitty gameplay designs =/= hardcore.

I was raped by Sigma 2. Does that make me a casual?
Apparently.
Bitch I don't even dry my clothes on Casual.
I beat both NG: Black and NG2 on Master Ninja, and honestly, NG2 was cheap as fuck. NG: Black was so much more satisfying and a much smoother experience in pretty much every aspect.

Bloody Ninja Gaiden 3 Screens at Famitsu.com
Famitsu.com has posted an article with lots and lots of blood filled screens from Ninja Gaiden 3.
The game appeared in this week's Weekly Famitsu where it was listed as 30% complete and due for 2012 PS3 and Xbox 360 release. Producer Yousuke Hayashi told the magazine that the game's concept is "Japanese Dark Hero."
According to the magazine's report, main character Ryu Hayabusa's right arm plays a central role in the game's story. You'll find new actions as you play through the stages, including a wall climb move and a slide.
As usual with Famitsu.com, these screens are tiny, but we should be getting a closer look at the game once E3 kicks off next week (or sooner).
Right arm? SLAM DUNK SLAM DUNK SLAM DUNK SLAM DUNK
So bloody, so beautiful...mmm...

Yosuke Hayashi Wants Players To Feel Each Katana Slice In Ninja Gaiden 3
I made sure to play Ninja Gaiden 3 before speaking with Yosuke Hayashi, lead designer and head of Team Ninja. The demo (which Kris outlined) went from one bloody battle to the next. Enemies tried to stop Ryu with machine guns and rocket launchers, which put up a poor fight. Ryu sliced through people, not monsters, with his katana.
Compared to Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, which had enemies vanish in a puff of purple smoke, Ninja Gaiden 3 felt more brutal in comparison and that’s kind of what Hayashi wanted.
Aside from bloody screenshots, we saw Ryu’s glowing red arm. What happened to Ryu?
Yosuke Hayashi, Team Ninja Head: Ryu’s right arm is a key element of the game and has been cursed by his enemies. Killing makes Ryu’s arm begin to glow red. This cursed energy can be stored and later used to attack enemies.1
1In Ninja Gaiden 3, Ryu can unleash his ultimate technique, an attack that quickly dispatches enemies, when his arm is glowing red.
I remember you said you wanted to demonstrate the consequences of violence in Ninja Gaiden. Is this your way of doing this?
We consider gore and violence different elements. This time we wanted to show you what we think of violence. A core concept of the game is cutting through flesh and bone and when you cut through an opponent it feels visceral. Also, enemies [in Ninja Gaiden 3] are human, not demons or monsters. When you see limbs and heads falling on the ground before, those were creatures. This time you have to cut through a human being.
Will we see any new weapons in Ninja Gaiden 3?
This time we focused on the katana and what it’s like for players to cut through flesh and bone. As you proceed through the story, you will acquire different katanas. We also have ninpo in the game. It wasn’t in the demo because we wanted players to see what it was feel what it is like to kill enemies with the katana. In the future we’ll be able to show you this element.
I saw Ryu has new moves like sliding and scaling walls with kunai. What other moves does Ryu have new for Ninja Gaiden 3?
With this game, we set out to have Ryu as a Japanese dark hero and that means a ninja from the feudal time period. We thought about what a ninja can do back then and that’s why we added climbing to the game. As you proceed through the game, Ryu will have different actions based on the time period. At this point, we can’t reveal the exact details of those.
You mentioned Ryu as a dark hero, but as a character I don’t feel he’s as developed as some of the female characters like Rachel. How do you plan on expanding Ryu’s character for Ninja Gaiden 3?
In the other Ninja Gaiden titles, Ryu is focused on killing enemies and he didn’t show who he was. This time we want to show Ryu’s personality and how he relates to others. When Ryu is unmasked he is a regular man, just like us. Therefore, he must feel similar emotions. We want to show this side of Ryu, his human side, and how he can relate to everyone.
Will we see other playable characters like Ayane and Momiji from Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2?
While I was the producer of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, this time I want to focus on Ryu, a Japanese dark hero. The direction of the game is different, so Ryu Hayabusa is the only playable character in the story.
Hayashi also touched on Ninja Gaiden 3′s difficulty and other projects Team Ninja are working on in the shadows. We’ll discuss those tomorrow.

What’s Next For Team Ninja? The Short Answer Is Ni-Oh
Ninja Gaiden games are known for being extremely challenging. Is the difficultly level for Ninja Gaiden 3 on par?
Yosuke Hayashi, Team Ninja Head: The Ninja Gaiden series has a history for being difficult even for masters of Ninja Gaiden games. We know there are some fans that gave up playing our Ninja Gaiden games at some point and there is another group of action game beginners. For all of those people, what we need to do is create a gateway, an entrance into Ninja Gaiden. We want players to be able to clear the game’s levels.
For core fans, we will prepare the same challenge level they expect from a Ninja Gaiden title.
How are you going to balance two very different groups of players?
What I meant by entrance is each type of player should have their own way of enjoying this game. One player might want a challenging action game while another person may want to experience other elements of Ninja Gaiden 3. We’re not just going to prepare different difficulty levels, it’s not something like that.
If you make players select "very easy" mode to complete they game you also make them feel bad. You make them feel like they are not good at playing this game. We don’t want people to feel like that, so we don’t want to draw lines for difficulty in that sense this way each person can enjoy playing Ninja Gaiden in their own way. This what I’m thinking about implementing. You may be able to imagine what I’m talking about…
You’re also working on Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge for Wii. What can you tell us about this project?
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge is still Ninja Gaiden 3, but we plan to utilize the new controller for the Wii U to do new things. You may remember Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword for the Nintendo DS, we’re thinking implementing that kind of action and gameplay in an enhanced way for Wii U using the controller’s touch screen.
I see, so what will you do for the Nintendo 3DS version of Ninja Gaiden, then?
Right now, we are concentrating on Ninja Gaiden 3. To be honest with you, Ninja Gaiden for 3DS is still in very early in development.
Team Ninja is also working on Ni-Oh, originally one of Koei’s titles, how is that game progressing?
We ran lots of tests and trials for Ni-Oh. After we ran through these we found a style that fits this title. At Team Ninja, we want you to experience the feel of action in our games. Ni-Oh is set with during the samurai era and we want you to feel what it’s like to be a samurai.
Aside from Dead or Alive: Dimensions on the 3DS, what other plans do you have for the series?
Dimensions was designed to show the history of the series. If you play through the game you’ll see a message from Team Ninja that says the Dead or Alive series will continue. We’re not ready now, but when we can we will show you the next game.
Are you actively designing the next Dead or Alive? You also have Ninja Gaiden and Ni-Oh on the table too.
Team Ninja grew and is quite large now. We can handle multiple projects simultaneously. The order of the titles that will be released goes something like this Ninja Gaiden 3, Ni-Oh, and Dead or Alive. But, we won’t make fans wait long for Dead or Alive!
Multiplayer
would have been nice to see a gameplay trailer after all this time
His arm looks like a bad case of syphilis or something lol.

Ninja Gaiden 3 leaps to retail in March 2012
We've got good news and we've got bad news, folks. Let's start with the good: Ninja Gaiden 3 will arrive on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 next March, with a Wii U version to follow at some point after that. Team Ninja head Yosuke Hayashi told as much to a crowd of journalists in San Francisco this afternoon, according to our reporter on the ground.
Now, friends, the bad news: despite a new easy mode, and the notorious absence of a known masochist at the helm, we're still quite confident that Ninja Gaiden 3 is gonna be super duper hard. Like, way hard. Maybe you haven't played the other two? 'Cause they're both pretty hard games, guys.
March 2012 my body is ready!
