    Juicero is dead ya'll.

    $600 paperweight!
Juicero fell under heightened scrutiny after a Bloomberg article in April reported on how consumers could use their hands to squeeze the juice packs without the aid of the Juicero machine.

As Fortune reported earlier this month, Dunn addressed the Bloomberg hand-squeezing issue in a Medium post and again in the letter to employees obtained by Fortune, in which he wrote that “it was frustrating to read that something we always knew about, and that our customers simply aren’t interested in doing, was somehow new and relevant.”
    LMAO!

Pa. Police Department ‘Terrified’ After Finding Red Balloons Tied To Sewer Grates

Police in one small Pennsylvania borough say they were “completely terrified” after someone placed red balloons on grates.

Police are asking the “local prankster” not to continue placing the balloons on the grates, similar to the movie “It” which comes out on Friday.

In a post on Facebook, the Lititz Borough Police Department say they know the movie is coming to theaters in a couple days and give the prankster creativity for promoting the movie.

Nurses suspended after admiring size of incapacitated patient's genitals, patient died, later they opened his body bag for another look. I'm willing to bet this happens more often than you think.

Some people let even the most minuscule of position of power over others get to their head and they go crazy, no matter how pathetic or insignificant it is in the grand scheme of things... I mean just think of some infamously bad linkshell leaders, or forum moderators

Starbucks robbery suspect to sue man who disarmed him

Flores, clad in a Transformers mask and armed with a fake gun and a knife, was taken down by Jerri, who attempted to disarm Flores by hitting him over the head with a chair. The San Francisco publication reports that the two then tussled over Flores' knife. Both men sustained injuries in the process, but both survived their wounds; Jerri was stabbed once in the neck, while Flores suffered 17 stab wounds.

Get Rekt Optimus Prime!!! Also notice how at around the 30 second mark old dude is getting a chair ready to fight while that fat chick is just sitting down wiping tables looking straight at her coworker getting robbed. Not saying she should be incredibly brave and foolhardy too but goddamn girl call 911 or something

A nonprofit group wants coffee manufacturers, distributors and retailers to post ominous warnings about a cancer-causing chemical stewing in every brew

Note it's a natural by product in many foods when cooking and hasn't shown danger when consumed but probably the real reason for this is

Under the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, passed by voters as Proposition 65 in 1986, private citizens, advocacy groups and attorneys can sue on behalf of the state and collect a portion of civil penalties

Its the same thing that is produced any time you bake, broil, fry, sautee, etc. most foods. It's also found in drinking water because of the treatment process.

    So. Dumb.

Yeah they already went after and won against potato chips and such. Might as well just have a general disclaimer any and everything might kill you until proven otherwise. Best part is burden of proof is on the producer so any of these suits will go to automatic settlements unless you are a huge company that can get these studies or they already exist

There should be Prop 65 warnings at all public parks because the sun is a carcinogen.

For those outside California, Prop 65 requires all products sold to the general public have a warning label if it could contain chemicals that could be carcinogens, cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. Businesses reacted by plastering these warning signs in their buildings/property to shield them from lawsuits. Those signs are a laughable joke now since every business, gas station, market, restaurant, factory, etc etc etc has a sign near their entrance. Even Disneyland. Yes people, Disneyland can give you cancer.

Even worse it's ones recognized by California which means yes some are things only recognized in California as being like that. Like Cancer society lists of definitely is about 100 and probably/possible looks like it adds another 50-100ish (though some aren't chemicals so yes sunlight is on there as well as things like sleep disruption) and some are basically repeats like they list individual isotopes so really the list is more like 50-100 total between definitely and probable. While California's is almost 1k AND IS ONLY CHEMICALS and consolidates a lot. Basically the California list is required to contain everything a dozen or so large food, health and cancer organizations include and then on top of that you can petition a board to add stuff

And yeah since any lawyer can use on behalf of the state and get a portion of the settlement a lot of places just get threatened with a suit and comply or do ahead of time (max penalty is something like $2.5k per person per exposure). To the point even places that aren't selling anything will have it... like every parking lot because hey parking lots have cars and cars have gas ergo parking lots give you cancer <.<.

There is an out in the way it not providing enough exposure to pose a significant risk... but the burden of proof is on the accused and the proof is rather strict. "The law defines “no significant risk” as a level of exposure that would cause no more than 1 extra case of cancer in 100,000 people over a 70-year lifetime"

.002% rate? Holy freaking damn, how do you even get to statistical likelihood with that kind of a sample size? How do you even remove genetic variables to account for that kind of variance?

You don't, you just slap the label on anything with any chance that it may cause cancer whatsoever.
