ONE MONTH FROM NOW-- The Legend of Korra, in which the mythology of the beloved animated
franchise from Avatar: The Last Airbender creators Michael Dante
DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko continues. The series centers around a
new Avatar named Korra, a 17-year-old headstrong and rebellious girl who
continually challenges and bucks tradition on her quest to become a
fully realized Avatar in a world where benders are under attack. The
half-hour series will debut on Saturday, April 14, at 11:00 a.m. (all
times ET/PT), as part of Nickelodeon's Saturday morning block
(8AM-Noon), which has been the number-one destination for Kids 2-11 for
12 consecutive years and currently delivers more than three million
total viewers each week. The Legend of Korra will air regularly on
Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
Saturdays, 11 a.m. Be there or be square.
MY BODY IS SO READY!
oh, and wth, James Cameron is so bad ass now we can't say "Avatar" in the title or during the promo? -_-
you do know that since the beginning, that all official sources have either just called it "Legend of Korra" or "The Last Airbender; Legend of Korra"?
I'm assuming they dropped "the last airbender" from it because it makes no sense.
Though that's not to say they left out "Avatar" from the very beginning because of Cameron's movie.
^ Yar, I know about the choice of title etc. I thought I read (quite some time ago) that the series was possibly going to be "Avatar: The legend of Korra" but I'm pretty sure that's old news.
But the phrase/word "Avatar" is conveniently missing from that entire promo, which is odd since, you know, the main character is the fricking Avatar.
It's true. They can't use "Avatar" anymore due to James Cameron and his Titanic with Blue People. It was "The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra" now it's just "Legend of Korra"
Is there proof of that somewhere? A copyright claim maybe?
That's dumb. Avatar was avatar before avatar was avatar. Now that avatar can't be avatar anymore, will casual fans still know it's avatar?
