how fucking predictable the villian is I mean COME ON. The whole trial I was like "It's a setup, the judge is being told what to say by Evil Uncle". And lo and behold... Not to mention no one really pointing out the fact that as the Head of the Southern Water Tribe, Korra's father HAS to host meetings at his house, so I don't know why that implicitly makes him guilty of conspiring.
Obviously, he was arrested and put on the ship to be rescued as the Uncle's excuse to actually start a war with the south. Evil Uncle knew Korra would go save her father, which is why there was hardly any resistance put up against her from that entire fucking fleet of ships. "My prisoner, decided by trial, was busted out by the Avatar because of her familial ties to him, and now they're both criminals" sounds like a really good way to turn the North, and maybe even the world, against Korra and the Southern Water Tribe.
Oh and of course it was also obvious that Evil Uncle set up Korra's father to get kicked out of the North. That was also extremely obvious. Man, I was hoping for something a little more, I don't know, sophisticated in terms of plot, but nope.
