Manly tears.
Manly tears.
Saddest videos yet.
These videos remind me of Tokyo magnitude 8.0, a twelve episodes anime drama that deal with the aftermatch of a huge Earthquake in Tokyo.
They had the "human factor" part right, but damn, it's even worse when you actually see it with real people. It was an interesting watch though, especially when you compare it to the current event.

Reactor just went boom.
I vaguely remember back in '94 or '95 when Japan had a real bad earthquake, I was in 4th grade, I think, and we wrote letters to a school in Japan. They wrote us back, no one knew what the letters said but we were all appreciative they wrote back. Trying to guess what our names were in Japanese and such.
those videos are heartbreaking, ive never felt so bad for so many people at once and thought "i hope this doesn't happen again soon" they really got fucked in the ass by nature and its only getting worse from here. 10k dead is a scary number especially after watching the BBC vid of the rescue crew taking that guy out of his car, some of them had no warning and others were just unlucky... i hope for the best for anyone that has friends/family in japan
Haiti's earthquake killed 300k, the tsunami in 2004 killed 200k...considering that Japan had it much worse (bigger tsunami and stronger Earthquake), it's almost a miracle that only 10-20k were killed (of course, its because they were well prepared, but still).
I'm not trying to down play the loss of ten thousands life, but given the circumstance, it could have been a lot worse. The same disaster anywhere else would have have been absolutely terrible.
The reactor is still intact, they're saying it's just another hydrogen build-up explosion. Gotta admit, before I read up on the details I was welling up watching the video. Really hope they get the cores under control; few things are more horrifying than nuclear explosions.
Tsunami?few things are more horrifying than nuclear explosions
Only if it's on fire.
Wouldn't want to experience either, but a nuclear meltdown scares the shit out of me as well.

Here's a video showing the tsunami as it starts, and within 3-4 min washing away houses
(Don't think anyone's posted this yet?)

Yeah Kaylia, while the death count is unfortunately high it would have been much much greater in any other country. Japan is the most earthquake/tsunami ready country in the world.
