I could just do sleep with Sheeps I assume? Take them to 20% HP and hold on PLD. The Resist page says Resist V for PLD, but the main page only says III, so I don't know what to assume about that. However, I would have access to at least two resist sleep atmas for PLD and DT gear. If I take minimum damage (Lets say 1-2 dmgish) I can just count the number of sleeps since I will probably awaken the next hit.

Colibri. I'd say go in abyssea with regen atma and spam a spell on them while being afk. If you use stun or poison you can determine the resist rate backward (by deducing the no resist rate from the visual rate). They will reflect the spell on you.

Well actually the colibri in abyssea don't reflect so use one of them outside of abyssea, as rdm with 50% pdt/aquaveil and a regen II macro+phalanx.

If I can handle holding mobs afk, that's not a bad idea lol.

I'm looking into something better to test my pets mdb and sdt on if anyone has ideas. Their resist rate is thru the roof on balaur and bombs. Maybe I'll just hunt someone down and make them do ballista with me and hope they don't calculate dmg differently for pets and pcs in ballista

    Checking PDT/Damage Type Resistance values:

    Blunt (Non-H2H): Weapon Bash (LV+11/4)
Piercing: BST 1k Needles (1000 DMG)

Interesting note 1k needles is unaffected by Monster Correlation for either blu or bst in case anyone was wondering if that would throw off the test. Blu version of course is treated as magic dmg but still

Also to add to this excalibur is 1/4 current hp into slashing dmg that is effected by pdt (tested via ovni)

Also not sure if it helps but for higher blunt dmg for possibly resolution you could try shield bash. I say possible because it seems to range some. Like on 99 pld with 99 aegis it would do 330-340 (only did about 20 so range is quite possibly a little bigger). Would vary on the same mobs different mobs etc. Ovni pdt lowered the dmg and did 490 on a magic pot so a little less than 50% increase. So higher dmg for less rounding errors but some amount of randomness

And lastly also to help test while I know Vitriolic Barrage says it's water and magical it's actually physical... ie wearing -13% dt and 5% pdt and -50% mdt (aegis) with fully merited shell V up it would deal 828

Test for determining monster Vit (test 2)

Requires: Pup with skilled up ranged skill.

Test: Use Armor Shatterer twice on a given level of mob, once without AF3+2 hands, once with AF3+2 hands. The auto's attack must be capped vs the mob, so you may need to use various methods of defense down to ensure that. Armor Shatterer itself seems to have an attack boost, so this usually won't be difficult.

Reason for testing with and without AF3+2 hands is that the hands give an odd amount of Str (13) to the puppet, so it can be used to exclude rounding differences.

For mobs with Vit of 75 or less, do not use the Alternator.

With capped attack, damage from Armor Shatterer will be a multiple of 15. Divide the observed damage by 15 to get your base damage.

Formula for the base damage is:
    floor(rangedSkill * 0.11) * 2 + 10 + WSC + fStr2

    WSC is 50% Dex.

You can then back-calculate dStr from fStr2. Since fStr2 increases by 1 point every 2 dStr (at least for dStr of 16 (fStr2 of 10) or higher; consult other references for values lower than that), the odd and even str tests will allow you to pinpoint the exact vit value.

So was seeing on the first page some talk about extrapolating various stats just from evasion? How exactly does that work and can it be applied to higher level stuff since it seemed somewhat based on player ranks and such.

Also was wondering on agi. Melee crit rate seems like a really annoying way of trying to determine with how widely base stats can range now. Assuming the wiki is right about ranged crit that might work but also would take awhile and of course the conversion means you'd either only be within 10 or have to do multiple test or really only use it to narrow down to then get your dex in a good range to test with melee.

But I was wondering is it feasible to test using dagis effect on tp given? Because that sounds like it would be much easier. Also is there another way I'm not thinking of?

Also side note the above vit determining method wont work since they've changed a ton to automaton ws
