Nobody. They're kinda classic FF status these days. Since they're riding the nostalgia horse this time around, seeing tonberry was a guarantee.

omg when i have kids i'm totally dressing them as tonberries for halloween
I love Nigel Tonberry
its a Final Fantasy 8 branded tonberry, I've had mine for ages. When my sister was little we used to play with it together, I would slowly creep the tonberry up to her, then tap her with the dagger and say "Doink!" This was followed by many baby-giggles.
now he protects my desk
Will be awesome to see how they implement them in ARR, I think the cactuars worked really well
Are you ready for puzzles!?

Dear god I must have been 13 years old when I first watched those. I think I may actually still have half of it memorized...
Meh, a srsbznz thf was able to deal decent damage, definitely worth a spot in a lot of places when you also factored in shit like feint/collaborator/etc.
lolthf jokes aside, combat in ffxi was always great as a thief. So much to do, so much positioning to worry about. Hell even when soloing we'd utilize stuff to get a sneak attack or saws off. I'm sure similar combat mechanics would work great in xiv.
edit: I'm going to pretend this was a double post. Totally didn't forget that I just posted <.<;
Edit: Wrong thread.
is it me or is the dude writing the official blog annoying and corny
He's pretty humorous in the localization forums, but yeah if you were just reading the official blog, I could see it coming off that way.
In the localization forums, he actually has a lot of information to share, but that blog is more attempt at humor than actual info.
aight i'll take your word for it
Which is five billion times better than the zero communication we used to get.
Puzzles eh? seems like they are taking a lot from gw2, thats a good thing though.
