Yeah, while I still think this looks good, my first thought when he introduced himself to Flash was "Bruce wouldn't assemble a team as Bruce" but I haven't watched BvS so I thought maybe there was some reason he couldn't be in costume.

It's mostly unrelated. Just watch BvS to get some more context out of this trailer.

I don't get how watching BvS explains how he's introducing himself as Bruce Wayne instead of Batman... Didn't hardly anyone know who he was in Justice League (the cartoons at least)?

And man, the trailer ends with Aquaman still getting shit on.

Well for starters, you may need to stop comparing this and that. Their identities being known to each other is strictly dependant on the source material.

And watching BvS would give you more context to trailer to answer a simple question of "why bother gathering". Which was certainly answered at least twice there.

I guess I must be in the minority who didn't really mind that BvS tried to be super grimdark serious- it's just that I don't feel the script was "smart" enough to justify that tone despite Snyder's claims.

I don't really care if they want to go for smartass quips like Marvel movies, but I hope the they'll have some better quips than the ones in that trailer.

Nah, I know why they're gathering. Just kinda defeats the purpose of his secret identity if he's going around to supers as his real-self. Knowing batman he probably did his homework on each of them and deemed them worthy, i suppose. But still. he obviously walked up to Aquaman w/o knowing much.

That will hopefully make their dynamic much better. Also, it is Batman but his initial information stems from whatever Lex gave him / stole from Lex. We can "assume" he did more digging but assumptions lead to expectations and expectations can lead to heavy disappointment.

I'm as well cautiously optimistic. Yeah Batfleck will carry this and seems more like Stark but we should know that going in. It should be obvious Avengers will be used as a blueprint. That being said I liked the humor. Liked Bats and Flash so hopefully they've finally Learned how to make a fun movie.

I agree with you to an extent. The problem is BvS just took it to a ridiculous extreme with every scene having Supes looking constipated, everyone is pessimestic and brooding because reasons, and every other scene is bombarding you with pretentious allegory and symbolism. Pair that with the incoherent script along with inexplicable character actions and it was just all way too exhausting by the end.

The movie was super grimdark just for the sake of being super grimdark. Did absolutely nothing to help it overall.

Henry Cavill Teases Black Superman Costume for Justice League Movie

Following the conclusion of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, fans had an idea of what to expect from Henry Cavill’s Superman in the upcoming Justice League movie and the star may have just offered a first look at his character’s new costume.

Cavill took to Instagram today to share a new photo of what appears to be the black version of his Superman costume, confirming that the character’s return will feature the same dark outfit he wore in the comics. Coincidentally, a black version of his Man of Steel costume was made as a toy when the film was released in 2013, and now appears to be making its way to film.

Feels weird responding this late after but to go along with this without spoiling it too much we also know he gets a bunch more information at the end of Suicide Squad. Also gets some digs in and some hinting at why he gathering
