According to a small aside in a Forbes piece on Wonder Woman’s dizzying success, the heroine’s future in the DCEU already extends past that film’s planned sequel, which is confirmed for release December 2019. The Flash movie, according to the report, will have elements of an ensemble film when it releases in 2020, similar to the way Marvel has been handling its standalone hero films (see: Captain America: Civil War), and Wonder Woman is expected to appear.

I think the author of the article doesn't remember Flashpoint that well. Diana was a huge part of Flashpoint -- in that she was one of the two major figures driving the world towards Armageddon.

That said, thinking about it, it would kinda throw all the good-will of this iteration of WW out the window by turning her into a warmongering conqueror..

Yeah idk, the movie's going to set up the idea right at the start that the timeline is twisted. Nobody's going to watch it and go "oh, WW is evil now", they'll say "Flashpoint WW is evil". Like original Star Trek episodes, but with less goatees (hopefully).

...and maybe they just know the CW Flashpoint.

It'll be a disaster. Flashpoint is a dark storyline. DCEU will have to be at its darkest/broodiest. Aquaman already looks like a villain so it won't be a hard transition for him. Edgy Diana will be so bad.

That being said, I'm all aboard for JDM's Thomas Wayne!

The quote was that someone "talked to 3 people, 1 of which didn't enjoy those". So maybe not a stacked audience, but a cherry-picked "interview". Also small sample size, etc.
