    Spoiler: show
Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, director of 28 Weeks Later, has finalized a deal to direct a reboot of The Crow for Relativity Media. The film has yet to cast any actors, but is set to begin production in the fall. The search is currently underway for a writer to script the story with Fresnadillo based on James O’Barr’s comic book series. The series has such a loyal cult following and has sold more than a quarter-million copies worldwide. The story will once again follow "Eric Draven, who is resurrected as The Crow to avenge his wife’s murder so he can reunite with her in the hereafter." The original came out in 1994 and grossed $51 million in the US. It starred Brandon Lee, who was accidentally shot and killed during filming.

Why? Just why? The Crow has never been good. Why would they want to make it again?

The first one was good, can't say the same for the second or third if there even was one. The first one had great action/visuals and groundbreaking cinematography for it's time. I don't see how this reboot can be good. It had it's place in the '90s and they should let it die .

Also wtf is it with all these reboots ?_?

Basically what I was going to say, I wouldn't say the first one was good though, interesting and decent, the rest were fucking terribad.

Also seriously what in the fuck is with all these reboots.

I liked the first one and also The Crow: City of Angels, but after that it just went downhill. Not even sure how many more they made, I know at least one, maybe two. I just know there was a Filter song used in one of them, called "The Best Things."

Tired of everything being rebooted though for sure, Hollywood needs some original ideas.

The 1st one was p good in 94 cause dude dying made it more interesting and also with how they had to cgi his face on another actor in the opening scene. I saw the 2nd one and it was fucking horrible (very very bad). As for the 3rd one, I mean look at that fucking box cover that is just lol

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

I really didn't enjoy the 1st one I have to admit (can't judge the others 'cause I never watched them). It seemed like when Crow came out that helped jump start the modern "goth" era (guys walking around in trench coats and Crow shirts). Meh, just wasn't for me. And ya this reboot thing is getting ridiculous.

uh shouldn't you attribute that to Depp and Edward Scissorhands?

And Tara Reid. That must be the worst movie ever created. And is that other guy Angel from Buffy?

I prefer the reboots to making Crow 5, personally.

Though I wish they'd do more original things, certainly. But they never will. They have theaters to prop up. And annoying as it is, all the crappy throwaway movies they do fund your King's Speeches and your Black Swans and your Inceptions.

could be that too, but that seemed to be a girl thing whereas there were more guys walking around in Crow shirts. (don't seem to remember guys being into scissorhands, just teh ladies)

You could be right though as that was what? 16 years ago? XD I have a poor memory.

There always were remakes and always will be remakes/reboots. Just as there are tons of originals that come out you're all just
"forgetting" about them and focusing in on reboots/remakes.

Quit getting all angry about it and just accept it.

And The Crow was 94? and Edward Scissorhands 90 I think. But yeah, guy/girl impact from those movies are different.

Why wouldn't this movie sell? We got people so into the "vampire" thing. Get the right dude to play the Crow and this will sell to all the teenie boppers and wannabe emo people.
