When people are brewing lv90 emp NMs are they not bothering with TH and just getting mostly single drops?

Did 5 dragua today brew style. Had a thf poke each one but didn't get any additional TH procs.

Got 9 scales.

Try it without the "input", that's only for commands you want to send to the FFXI client.

Just so I got this down: actual physical damage is = BD * pDIF

where BD = D +(aD) + fSTR(2), where D is listed weapon dmg and fSTR (this is a bit confusing listed on wiki, but I understand it's just STR -VIT and then approximations are given?)

and pDIF = [(ATK/DEF) - .050 x dLEVEL] which gets thrown into range values of fMax and fMin then multiplied by a number between 1.00 and 1.05?

If the above is correct, what's the general consensus on assumptions/substitutions for a few of those values? (ex: monster stats not being known)

EDIT: and pDIF(or that atk/def ratio at least) and fSTR have caps

What you have listed as pDIF is actually cRatio. You plug in cRatio into a formula to get your max/min pDIF. Your actual pDIF used is randomly selected (not sure if it's an even distribution for this, though?) from between the min and max, then multipled by a random even distribution between 1.00 and 1.05. Just playing semantics over words, though; it looks like you got the actual math behind it down.

As far as substitutions, a lot of times I just use the att/def ratio in place of pDIF and secondary randomization to speed up calculations, but this usually gives the high end of the number, especially when fighting things more than a few above you.

Considering what is on my sig, is this game worth coming back? I have around 500k and according to my gear that I have purchased 2 years ago before quitting, i'm pretty rich. lol

also talked to an rl friend of mine from the unicorn server, he said if i come back he'll hook me up w/ any missing missions and leveling my jobs to 90 and possibly some gear, etc.

I do plan on taking THF, RNG, and WAR, and possibly NIN to 90.

the most annoying part is getting abyssea clears and getting the atmas and abyssites. Other than that its easy as fuck to get anything you want.

simmy (and roc, morbolger and cassie) all can just pop during the 3 hour window. there are, unfortunately, no discrete spawn windows within like kings.
