Last Price Check of the playoffs (maybe)
NO ... FUCK THIS.... I was going to bed feeling like shit per the Hawks playoff exit... Turn on TV... THE FUCKING END OF JURASSIC BARK COMES ON.
"I will wait for you forever...."
Now I'm sad... er...
Pretty much sums it up for me. God that was an amazing series.
Well since the West is set.
Red Wings in 6.
Preds in 7.
Fuck that was an epic series. So many story lines. Let the debate begin as who is Capt. Clutch Toews or Crosby. Fuck you Hossa.
Canucks in 6.
Wings in 6.
TSN's Bob Mckenzie tweet ~ "Somewhere, Luc Bourdon is smiling at his pal Alex Burrows."
Such a fun game to watch. Bar full of people clad in Canucks gear (with me serving them liquor hoping somehow both teams would lose at the same time miraculously). But as a hockey fan in general, it was just exciting to watch. I was in the middle of Surrey too, cars honking horns, hundreds of people in the streets celebrating like nuts. Fireworks, music, chanting, just craziness. I can only imagine how it was downtown. I can see Vancouver sweeping Nashville after this series. Detroit vs SJ will be the more entertaining of the 2 west series. While I like Detroit better, it'd be nice to see SJ actually accomplish something for once in the playoffs.
I'm thinking Tampa over Pittsburgh, hopefully Montreal over Boston. And the east winner in general I'm gunning for Washington.
I don't think I'm going to watch either game tonight. Caps will get Montreal or the winner of Tampa/Pittsburgh, and frankly all of those teams present their own problems. The great unknown is of course Crosby. I'd rather just wake up tomorrow and start hating a group of players and their fan base than spend all night thinking, "Oh I'd rather draw these guys and not these other guys."
Fell asleep during hawks game last night, woke up sad
Well.. at least they pushed em back and made them work for it. Fuckin.... no heartbreak like hockey heartbreak!
Wings in 5
Canucks in 7
I finally sobered up enough to use the Internet Canucks in 4 baby WOOOOOOooooOooO
I woke up hoping to find it had all been a terrible dream and we hadn't really lost to a guy who only seems like a viable NHLer because Dan Carcillo exists to compare him to, but alas.
Looking forward to the rest of the playoffs, as well as to how the Hawks answer some key free agency questions, such as:
- Should they re-sign Chris Campoli, who played well for them down the stretch, but gave away the series-winning goal with an awful turnover.
- How to re-sign Patrick Sharp to a long-term, cap-friendly deal and insure his breathtaking face for a millions-billions dollars
- Who the hell is Ben Smith?
So when do the Flyers play? Or does it depend on who they play determined by tonight? Trying to figure out when I work.
Depends on both games tonight and arena schedules. Philly could play Boston, Tampa or Pittsburgh, so lots up in the air still.
E: Hahahaha, Vince Vaughn makes it even better:

Going Far ahead but here we go for round 2
Tampa Vs Philly TB in 6
MTL vs WSH WSH in 6
Canucks vs Preds : Preds in 6
SJ vs DET SJ in 5 (lol yeah)
Woooooo now that was a series. I said it in the beginning that if Canucks swept this it would be anti-climactic, I should learn from Isla and keep my damn mouth shut next time. Chicago really pushed us to the edge, to the point of near historic collapse. Damn near everyone on this thread was expecting the Canucks to choke in game seven. After the last two years it's not hard to understand why but this time Vancouver pulled it off and it was so much better then a first round win deserves to be.
I feel bad for Crawford, he played lights out and should be a good goalie for Chicago going forward. There were pics of him after last nights game that I won't post out of respect for the Chi-town fans but man did he look completely heart broken.
Now on to Nashville, a good team whose goalies numbers are worse then Luongo's which is kinda surprising after how game 4 and 5 went. They're a good team but I was amazed how bad Rinne's goalie stats are. I think this series will be tight defensive hockey but Nashville is just happy to be here while the Canucks won't be happy unless they've won it all. Vancouver in 5.
Detroit vs San Jose will be the better series I think. Two talented teams with balance. Can't wait to see Zetterberg and Datsyuk play again. Detroit in 6.
Go Nucks!
Preds in 6 Sharks in 7. I'll make the east predictions once those are revealed later tonight. I'm always worried about a playoff choke but Detroit fans really seem to forget we seem to have there number the last couple of years. Never forget 4-30-94
