    But as someone mentioned... They specifically mentioned Adventurer's Guild as the location to obtain and Eorzea's Guilds as the people who assign these tasks.

    The game itself actually has a decent amount of stuff to do but it all shares the same things in common:

    It's all rank restricted/bases
    It's severely time limited.

    We all knew the patch was gonna be small but we did get some content out of it so let's not fly off the handle. I consider these new guild tasks FFXIV's version of daily quests. Break it down and there's a fair bit to do at least...

    • Dailies every 24h
    • sidequests for the low/mid-levels
    • Leves every 36h, which break down into three primary tasks:
      • leves for SP
      • leves for marks
      • faction leves for end game gear
    • Notorious Monsters
      • mid-level
      • high-level / "end game"
    • Crafting


    Throw in dungeons that cover all the level ranges or fill in grinding gaps, twek the UI a bit more, and we've got a real MMO here methinks.

    Woah now now let's not get ahead of ourselves!

    I hope in the end the "dailies" end up being like XII's mark hunts, especially if we're talking about 3 per day and not 19 .

    Somebody needs to datamine wtf they did :/

    I agree. For anyone that started on release and stopped playing shortly after they'll have lots to do on their grind going forward. Still not much for us at the top till next month.

    Still say they should add EXP/SP rewards to these sidequests to supplement the grind.

    Orrrr maybe they found a color bug in every new NM and they had to be redownloaded... That's my guess.

    More sidequests, and a new type of SP-giving daily in each city? Looks good, dunno what people were thinking it was gonna be. Seems to me that this IS pretty much 30%, considering the first patch was 20nms and a few quests.

    [dev1055] Guild tasks have been added.
    By examining the new task boards found within any Adventurers' Guild, players may view and undertake the tasks of Eorzea's guilds. Obtaining and delivering the requested items will yield both rewards and skill points (awarded to the active class at time of completion).
    * Players may complete a maximum of one task per guild per day (Earth time, resetting daily at 6:00 p.m. PDT/1:00 a.m. GMT).
    Let's break this down because the way it is worded is misleading:

    -Guild tasks: once a day, per guild, per day
    -Initiate tasks: task board
    -Location: Adventure Guild (same place as leves)
    -Employers for the tasks: Eorzea's guilds (DoW/DoM/DoL/DoH)
    -Task goals: obtain/deliver items
    -Task rewards: skill points & "rewards" for active class at completion

    Okay, so the first thing interesting I see is that you can do one quest per guild per day. This is ambiguous as they refer to the guilds as "Eorzea's Guilds", which could be up to 19 class guilds, or just 3 for each city's adventurer's guild. However, they already referred to Adventurers' Guild by name, so why wouldn't they use it twice if that is what they meant? Using a 2nd name for the same thing doesn't make sense.

    Then let's look at the size of the patch. It is huge! Bigger than the first. Why would it be so big for only 3 guilds worth of quests? Conclusion: we can do a guild task for each class guild once a day.

    At least, this is my analysis of the current info.
