Random "N"s inputed while typing - coming from wireless mouse...

This is a really bizarre problem that just started up today. Seemed to be random while in the middle of playing FFXI.

I noticed random words would have a lowercase N added to them. At first I thought I was being sloppy typing, then I realized it was getting more frequent. It was also making it a bitch to open gold boxes because apparently N has the same function as the Esc Key in FFXI.

Obviously, I assumed it was a sticky N key... inspected, and the key was fine. I unplugged the keyboards USB with the cursor in a text document, and it went from adding an "N" every ~5-8 seconds to adding constant Ns.

I unplugged the receiver for the wireless mouse, and it immediately stopped. I was able to do everything normally (except use a mouse).

I plugged the mouse back in, and the N spam immediately started up again.

I then restarted the computer, but it made no difference except to slow the N spam down slightly (back to every ~5-8 seconds).

Totally confused on this, as it just started up today, and the keyboard and mouse have never had an issue. They only thing of note is - it's a Wireless mouse, but a USB (wired) keyboard. The mouse came with a keyboard - but it's broken (yeah, I dropped it)... even still, these two have worked together fine for over 2 months now.

Any ideas?

i had an issue with my trackpad that kept doing ghost clicks when i was in the middle of doing just about anything. a simple driver update for the trackpad solved the problem.

look for a driver update for your mouse or keyboard
