So I'm trying to decide why I'm still watching Kaiji season 2. I like seeing how Kaiji figures out how he's being cheated and the counter measures he comes up with, but the show is such a damn emotional rollercoaster and not in a good way. The series just likes to make people suffer so freaking bad before giving them a glimmer of hope and then crushing that. I'm not sure I can take it anymore.
Season 2 feels really drawn out. I think they are trying to stretch is as long as possible since there is less content and they don't want to catch up to the manga? Season 1 was definitely more amazing, season 2 is meh with a few great episodes.
It's not that, this part of the manga is really drawn out also.
Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kira Ep1
Well, that was certainly something.....
Is that new HxH anime a reboot or the start of the bug arc(bleh....)?
While I agree the pacing is just torture, I love how Kaiji can make you feel that way. I always watch completely tense because anything can happen to Kaiji lol, he isn't untouchable.
If you can watch it back to back, S2 I think is still great. Week by week it's harder because of the massive cliffhangers and emotional roller-coasters.
I can't believe they pulled a bitch move and used the block though. I'm honestly curious as to how they are going to get past that. Maybe a riot occurs?
Yeah, I think I'm just going to wait and watch 4-5 episodes a time, like I said, I really like a lot of aspects of the show, and the fact that Kaiji isn't untouchable makes it very compelling. The end of season one was so crazy, I never expectedThat was a total holy fucking shit, did that really just happen?!? moment.Spoiler: show
Just watched ep 3 of Blood C and I have just one tiny question...

Dantalian ep 02
Miyuki Sawashiro has done a lot of relatively well known roles, mainly Perrine in Strike Witches and Celty in Durarara!!, but her work as Dalian in this show is fantastic.
The chemistry between Huey and Dalian is great in this show, and they both have really good personalities.
Spoiler: show
Screw Usagi Drop, I got all teared up towards the end of episode 3. Really great show though, it feels so unique and the characters have actual depth.
The last chapter of Usagi Drop manga just got translated too, doubt they will get to that point in the anime though.
Index is like a goddamn train wreck; you just can't look away. The world and the characters have SOOOOO much awesome potential. I guess I just keep hoping that someone who knows how to write a good story will take over- or better yet, rewrite the whole goddamn series from scratch.
I'm just enjoying Dantalian no Shouka for the fact that it's Gosick meets Rozen Maiden where the male protagonist actually had a spine. I kinda wish they'd shorten the incantations though, I'd rather not have this series be "Classical Literature Audiobook feat: Ono Daisuke", but I really do enjoy what I've seen so far.
