Well now that you describe it like that, I'll have to revisit it.
Does the main guy (the policeman) get crazier, or is he attempting to stay sane throughout?
Is cool, I'll shift the anime from my "internet apocalypse" folder to my "finish it up" folder...
On a side note, i came across this and it was pretty funny (from reddit), a guy starts watching Neon Genesis Evalegion and starts a mini text commentary on it to his friend from start to finish in one sitting:

That was a fantastic play by play lmao
Anyone know the source (there's some irony to this) to http://knowyourmeme.com/photos/904466-sauce ? (sfw)
It looks cute enough to investigate further. Google Image brings nothing to the table.
Squid Girl aka Shinryaku! Ika Musume
Excellent. Just looked it up, looks like it has potential/Lucky Star dotted over it, so as I predicted it should suit my tastes. Many thanks!
Squid Girl is excellent, but I wouldn't compare it to Lucky Star.
Ah I only saw it like that because of the art, maybe. And that it's categorised as slice of life. Still, just read 3 glowing reviews on it, and I'm sold. 16/17 volumes on the manga too so plenty of material to sink into!
Some crunchyroll 2day guest passes none of my friends watch anime
Spoiler: show
Yeah, Squid Girl was great. It is just a slice of life type series though, so don't expect any amazing story or anything.
I just miss Nichijou. Lucky Star was great as well, but Nichijou was just the best.
Thoroughly enjoying Samurai Flamenco. It's nothing that I imagined it be and I think that's whats keeping me so entertained.
Quite an old one to bring up, but I noticed the manga's completed and readily available.
Is Shijō Saikyō no Deshi: Kenichi (Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple) any good, manga and/or anime? It's listed as one of the top mangas on mangatrader alongside Naruto, Bleach, One Piece and Fairy Tail.
Besides some anime physics I don't think there's any super naturalness in this? Otherwise it seems very school life like with fighting being the core. Looking for a nice balance of story and action along with character development.
Kenichi is basically a modest ecchi martial arts series that errs more toward comedy than the serious. It still has its moments, though. If I recall, it ended somewhat abruptly, so the manga ending may not be entirely satisfying while the anime, from what I saw, only goes up to Kenichi's first real major fight. In terms of the supernatural, I'd probably liken the master-tier stuff to pre-flight Dragon Ball. There's still unrealistic shit, but hey, fantasy.
That sounds alright, I enjoy comedy. It's settled! (I also read another quick review and it recommends it). Nevermind the ending, rarely are any ending satisfying lol
History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi was quite good, but as was said, it seems very obvious the author was forced to wrap it up or something. The ending isn't terrible or anything, it just would have been much better if it was more stretched out. It does get quite ecchi at times if that bothers you though. Very clearly can see nipples and stuff lol. Quite crazy what they got away with in that series.
If you enjoy it though, The Breaker (on hiatus after the second part ended) and Sun-Ken Rock (ending very soon) are some other fantastic martial arts series.
edit: Did not even realize this was the Random Anime Thread whenever I posted this, making posts late at night is not a great idea apparently. The Breaker and Sun-Ken Rock are manga only and I never saw Kenichi's anime. >.>
Sun Ken Rock actually looks really decent, do you know roughly when it will end? I read the summary and it captured my interest. Will pass on the breaker for now.
It's in the final few chapters now. Stunted by publishers for coming out and what not.
Just picked up A Certain Magical and Scientific Indexs, Season 1-2/movie of Magical, and only season 1 of Scientific. There an order to watch in? I know Scientific is a spinoff(?) of Magical but not much else.
