Nikkei: Gundam AGE to Stream in 5 Languages as It Airs
The Nikkei business news source reported on Sunday that Mobile Suit Gundam AGE, the newest television anime series in Sunrise's Gundam robot franchise, will stream in five languages. According to Nikkei, the anime will stream overseas with Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), Korean, and English subtitles at the same time it airs in Japan.
Nikkei added that Sunrise's Gundam.Info website will stream the anime for free for a month. The anime will premiere in Japan on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. (4:00 a.m. EDT).
Gundam AGE's story will cover a century and three generations of Gundam pilots. In the year A.G. 101 (Advanced Generation) — several hundred years after humans have migrated into space — an Unknown Enemy (UE) suddenly attacks the space colony Angel and destroys it. In A.G. 108, the war with the UE comes to the home colony of seven-year-old Furitto Asuno. After losing his mother to the war, he is entrusted with the "AGE Device," a memory unit with blueprints for an ancient mobile suit known as "Gundam."
In the year A.G. 115, 14-year-old Furitto is at the Earth Federation base Arinsuton on the space colony Nora. For seven years, Furitto has continued developing the mobile suit with the base's engineers, and at last the "Gundam" is complete. However, the UE has arrived at Nora, and Furitto must fight in the very Gundam he built himself.
Akihiro Hino, president of the game studio Level-5 (Inazuma Eleven, Danbōru Senki), is supervising the story of the anime. Susumu Yamaguchi is helming the project after directing most of the Keroro Gunsō (Sgt. Frog) films. Yamaguchi also worked as a key animator on Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, Mobile Suit Gundam F91, Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team, and the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed titles.

First 6 minutes of Unicorn Ep.4 (English-dub):
Jp version, no subs.
Episode 2 of AGE was slightly better. More cheesy, but its a slow start(like everything else). Since it's about 3 generation of characters with 50 episodes(?). Flit's story will probably end at 15-20.
Unicorn ep 4 is not coming soon enough. Want so damned badly
Unicorn Gundam will have a different ending than the manga(no surprise)
So...redesign or just shitty additional weapons?
The leaked AGE-2 and AGE-3 pics are real btw.
The collar was redesigned and made golden, formerly it was identical to the Unicorn's.. now it's a more aggressive fanged-pattern to match it's namesake in the tapestry, but the left arm's claw weapon keeps with the lion motiff I guess.. it's probably also identical to the normal Unicorn shield (I-field, etc.) functionally. The beam weapon on the right arm is a compact mega beam launcher. Based on some stuff floating around, it's presumably comparable to the Unicorn's beam magnum at full power, and probably greater. The forearm beam sabers are fully functional as well.
Also, on that topic; since they're rolling out the FA Unicorn MG in December, speculation is (and probably rightly so, given the changes already being made) that there will be an additional form added for each of the Unicorn Gundams.. but that's just speculation, however informed.
Regardless, the changes from the novel are welcome.. looking at the original art produced for the novels, they do seem abit.. bland in some regards. Atleast Episode 5 will introduce the Rozen Zulu among other yet-unseen older MS (Republic of Zeon will get involved unless they really deviate away from that for some reason). Which probably means something of a revelation regarding who Full Frontal really is.. which may also (lol) completely change from the novels.
I just hope they don't change too much. I do like the FA Unicorn is in it's green controlled form for the weapons.
Well, the psychoframes for both Gundams turn green after a certain event in the novels.. presumably, the changes will be in equipment, not to the psychoframes (which are still poorly understood outside of the relatively scant info we've been given by CCA, Unicorn, and print sources).
The FA Unicorn Gundam's form is essentially that of short-notice necessity (not design); so if there is indeed another step to go, expect it to be more like a factory-tailored add-on (ala the ZZ's FA add-ons). The Banshee will probably recieve a similar upgrade.
There's likely a great deal more in development for the Sinanju or something too (not the Rozen Zulu), as things with Full Frontal in the novels were rather stunted and somewhat anti-climactic. Count on major changes and developments here if they go the route I think they may go (as in opposite the novels) regarding his identity.
Curious note about the Byarlant seen in Unicorn, is that it's one of two further developed prototypes of the original; the one we see there is noted as being a test unit for further production. It seems that the additional equipment (thrust output literally rocketing ahead from a mere 28,000 kg in 0086 to 98,300 in 0096!) and changes finally elevated the original out of being considered under-armed, or atleast it's ability to fly in atmosphere unassisted is considered an asset for a non-transformable MS.
Edit: Also, the Grey Phantom refitted Pegasus-class we see, is indeed the Grey Phantom (see recording script for Ep. 4) from 0080 and 0083. Its' fate was rather ambiguous thanks to 0083; but now we have proof it survived more or less intact.
Edit 2: http://minkara.carview.co.jp/userid/...blog/24479804/ Pretty solid listing of MS that appear in Ep. 4.
When is Gundam Unicorn supposed to end? I don't wanna watch it until I can see all of it at once.
If they compress/dispose/alter the storyline, next winter. Otherwise? Sometime in 2013. They've already altered the storyline in Ep. 4 (the battle in the novel was to be at Dakar, with the Torrington assault a diversion). Assuiming they really are going to make more changes, I see an Ep. 7 or possibly 8 as being necessary; depending on the scale/relationship of the changes to the story (altering who Full Frontal is as opposed to the novels is probably going to be a big fucking deal).
Edit: Episode 5 is titled "Black Unicorn" apparently.
