Holy shit, most discussion we've had going in awhile (since AGE ended, I guess?).

Anyway, on the subject of the Mu surviving: let's not forget that the fucking two Lohengrin positron blaster cannons are anti-fortress weapons (fired at full power). Guess who forgot that fact, and had to be reminded in an interview (see below)? lol That kind of mistake would never fly under any other series (at least G can handwave it away through hot blood).

    Spoiler: show

As for the Gundam spam in SEED, I think that might actually be among the biggest gripes of older fans. It wasn't like they were Victory-esque either, being kind of "grunty" or something.

At least she had slammed the Psyco Gundam into the Sudori, so her survival is.. plausible, I guess. Much harder to explain the SEED instances though.

Also, regarding 00; trolling on /m/ aside, it seems like we share the same consensus regarding the TV series: S1 was perfect/nearly perfect. I wouldn't agree that the GN-Xs were necessarily completely on the level of the Gundams, but they were a major step up. Whatever their deficiencies (Trans-Am, lack of GN Fields and true GN-Drives) on an individual basis, they threatened CB with vast numerical and equivalent skill - CB scraped by, just barely. S2 had flaws (especially with some episodes dragging, and incidences of poor character development - like Graham), but it finished very strong. Movie.. depends I guess (I honestly dislike movies in Gundam, run times always feel.. constricting): the ELS being intelligent (but VERY different) life, and the fruit of all that CB had struggled and suffered for finally paying off in the end was satisfying, if bittersweet to a degree for me. The parkour and ELS possessing trucks and shit was a waste of time however.

But yeah, it's cool to see more activity here.

00 has one of the best scores I've ever heard for Gundam. Zeta is still my favorite but everything from 00 just feels intense.

While we're at it.. i've always honestly loved X's Resolution:

    Turn-A's Turn A Turn:

0083's The Winner and Men of Destiny (fuck, MIO had a voice):

    and ZZ's Silent Voice:

Unicorn has no OPs (I fucking loved Broken Mirror as an ED though); surprisingly most of my favorite OPs are AUs (aside from ZZ and 0083s OPs), given that i'm such a UCfag. Depending on what they do with post-Unicorn, we could get some great OPs out of the F90-F91-Crossbone stuff.

By the off chance no one has heard it, I have to link the Yoko Kanno-sung version of Turn A's Moon ED (vastly superior to the original):

Geopolitical SEED thread? Surprisingly, yes. Not much to it here, aside from further enshrining SEED as the epitome of bad writing.

    Finally finished my MG Dom~
    Spoiler: show

I've thought about adding a few more things (like a beam saber on the waist or some extra weapons (something like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/SG235-NG-1-1...item53f6b9c4f1), but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out for now.

I can take a few more pictures, if anyone is interested. Probably should have some with it's cannon up, since it can't support it up for long periods..

Looks good. Also +1 for the Daft Punk album (vinyl?).

If you were willing to deal with the possibly unsightly look of some tac, could use that to secure it to the right shoulder armor (or get a figure support base to support the front end).

Well, I finally found an image of the rendered internal frame of the 3.0.

If you'll notice, there's certain things that look sort of "universal" about the frame, in particular the mechanics of the knee and lower rear calves. This is important in the context of any possible GMs (I, II, and III); as the first two lack the bulges in the knees of the RX-78 (where a sub-reactor is located, each), and the GM III has a wildly different knee armor with lower calf thrusters. There would of course be changes in the feet, upper body, and probably backpack mounting systems. This might explain the bizzare lack of any GM IIs or IIIs to coincide with Unicorn thus far - the 3.0 (and its frame) was in the works.

And then of course you have the 78-1 Prototype Gundam, 78-3 "G-3," Origin versions of the -1 and -2 and GM.

Edelweiss (or anyone else for that matter), do you have a place to order metal verniers? I think I'm going to build a Sinanju Stein next, but would like to do metal verniers on it. Probably not going to start for a month or two, but I've started the planning now, so trying to see how much I can get lined up.

And indeed it is the vinyl. Figure it's been 8 years since their last album, so why not go big on this one~

Probably HLJ or 1999 (Hobbysearch); I don't use metal verniers so I can't actually attest to anything, but you'll (either optionally or be required to) want to use superglue to secure those metal parts.

Rewatching Zeta again haven't seen it in like 4 years. Was delighted to learn that a HG kit of the Gabthley exist and decided to pick one up. Easily my favoirte grunt suit in the UC universe.

As I figured. 1/100 stuff isn't anything great (although I do love cheapo Victory Core Booster kits, I need so many of those fucking beam rifles for these Gunblasters). Tons of good HGUCs, SEED HGs, and more though; probably group by scale and go from there to make it less annoying to sort through.

Ends on June 15, 6 PM JST. There's some good Armored Core kits, bunch of spacecraft and satillites (always useful for UC Gundam, bashing them together to look like the OYW-era Federation surveillance satillites!). HiQ Parts has some decals and metal rivet detail parts too up.

Also an honorable mention for GE999: http://www.hlj.com/product/ARI15804/Sci

Hngggggg... I want to order the Macross Quarter, but can't shake the feeling $100 could be better spent..

Might have to order one of those Core Boosters though, and maybe a Gale Strike for the swords.. But I'm partial to this sword as well: http://www.hlj.com/product/KBYMH-03/Sci
Handle seems long enough that even with an MG, if the sword is a bit small, it'd still be ok.
