Self Haircut?

Basically, I want to confirm if it's as simple as it sounds. I don't want anything fancy, short and even.

My uncle has a barber razor, so I am going to assume it's as simple as putting the correct clip in for how low I want it and going over my head fully (multiple times) to make sure I don't miss any spots.

If it looks that horrible w/o being edged up, I'll go pay 5 dollars to get that done, but I don't feel like paying $12 for a hair cut.

I saw this thread and knew it was you CS.

But to answer your question, it's pretty easy to do yourself. Before I started shaving my head daily with a razor I used the barber razor/#1 clip. It's a bit awkward at first, trying to get used to it and you will miss some spots, but just get a mirror and you can go over the areas you missed. You'll get better over time assuming you aren't a retard, which I'm not touching with a 10' pole lol

Yeah, that's all there is to it. I've been cutting my hair this way for almost two years. Doing it every two weeks or so will make it less obvious if you do miss a spot.

Why not just shave everything off? Sounds a lot easier to maintain then a decent self haircut.

I wait pretty long between shaving my head. I usually use a #3 though, the hardest part is cleaning up your neck and getting between your ears but when I do my neck I just put my fingers down and trim down, moving my hand across so it's pretty even. Then with my ears I use smaller clippers that came in my kit, and just follow my ear-lobe around.

The kit cost about 40$. came with big clippers, bunch guard combs and small clippers. was worth every penny when you consider time/energy seeing some chick to shave yer head. If ya need help you can always get a friend to do some touch-ups lol

It's only easy if you have the right hair for it. From your pics I don't think you'd have a problem, but for some one like me with thin patches, just doing a general buzz cut will leave big open spots of unsightly hair.

Get it done by a professional either way though, imo.
