All 5 man elites are BAMs. Some dungeon bosses 3 or 5 man are BAMs. Bam is anything large sized that gives off an aggro circle. Usually massive, can't be hooked in, ETC.

I don't mind really, as I'm playing K-TERA, but it could also mean patching in? Test servers? You never know. I'm assuming the amount of PVP servers will be very little, so they can just open up a PTS for anyone to try while the game is live already.

Or it could mean an end of the year release, yeah.

Proxying through with a JP IP and logging in lets you click "START GAME." When I click a popup says I'm out of japan so I can't play eventhough the proxy allows me on the site. Although I could have just been trolled, was watching some TERA stream and talking to someone who said it had already started.

You need to use VPN if you want to play the JP version, system region doesn't really have anything to do with it.

I'm on a VPN based in Japan right now, for FFXI, and I got the same message as the screenshot. The site only talks about closed beta though, not open (notice the CBT in the middle? Closed Beta Test).

Expect OBT to start about a week before the game launches, so they can roll right into retail.

Region locked or no, Im still gonna be playing from china / hk through VPN. 3$ a month if you buy the package... How else am I suppose to use youtube/google/wiki while Im away...

That fight was pretty damn awesome, shit reminds me of tron too.

I think the biggest reason why i'm so attracted to TERA is the fact that it's a true action MMO, the only game that got me like that beforehand was Phantasy Star Online, since you had optional targeting. It is pretty much a reason why I play Phantasy Star Portable 2 on the PSP. The games that keep me on my feet like that and bring more skill over anything else is what attracts me the most.
