I've been hitting it when it pops up. At the moment it just takes me to the page for the activeX download, but the installer doesn't pop up anymore. So I'm not sure if it downloaded or not.

I don't know how many of you played FFXI with a controller, but when I fractured my ankle in 3 places I definitely had to during recovery and eventually ended up almost liking it a lot more. Tera's controller support is very solid, although you don't have an infinite amount of mappings to swap between the L2/R2 triggers (that I know of, can't read moonspeak) it is very reasonable, and I am willing to bet you can fit it in most of your favorite skills. Because it's an Action/RPG it feels very natural and comfortable. It supports X360/PS2-PS3 controllers which you can change in the options under "type". I don't think I'm ever going back!

I'm still not 100% sure about getting the game day one. I've been burnt with Aion/Warhammer and I almost jumped on the bangwagon for FFXIV but I held back. I had no interest in Rift or SWTOR so no worries there. Just with the habit of games coming out lately, I'm a little weary to shovel out the money on a game only to have it flop and/or lose interest in 3 months.

Also, is there anyway to make this go faster? I know someone said something about turning the proxy off at some point(after GameGuard), wasn't sure exactly. After this part finishes? I'm staring so intently at the download, waiting, just waiting. Go faster! Please...

35% already? That's pretty fast. Login to the launcher, once it indicates that you are logged in, hit the orange GAME START button. As it's loading up gameguard, have the IE ready to switch it back, game should launch just fine.

Alright, thank you. Just wanted to make sure I was on the right track. I'll be leaving the download go while I get some sleep and should be playing tomorrow. Fuck, I almost want to cancel my guild event in WoW tomorrow night so I can play TERA.

There is only 1-2 days max left for the free play, I highly suggest you do. It will be very worth your time, it won't disappoint.

Besides, at this point I have no idea when NA beta could hit, and the more I hear, the more exclusive its sounding to play.

EDIT: FORGOT to mention one last important thing, for the game to launch properly you have to also switch you're display language in Windows to Japanese. So be prepared to download the JP language pack if you don't have that.

lol i got mine working now... go to the gym for 2hrs come back and it's only d/l'd 2%. by the time its finished the 40hr free trial will be over XD

Ok, so I couldn't sleep. Decided to check on the game and it finished. So I ran the patcher and everything is ready to play.. except I can't set my system to Japanese. I have 7 Home Premium. The guide points me to some Daz Loader, but I honestly have no idea what I'm doing with that and REALLY don't want to fuck things up. Is there any other way to get it running? =/

Vistalizator, what people used for the JP Beta. Remember to run in compatibility for Windows 7. You'll probably get a bunch of errors while the program runs and installs the language but it works. Think you have to be in express mode too.

Ugh. How big is the DL and can you torrent it?

Awesome, thank you. Installing the Japanese language pack now with Express Mode. Hope everything works out. I'm not sure what could go wrong at this point, but who knows with me.

If I even get in game just to create characters I will be happy at this point. Although it'll be a bit depressing I went through all this trouble for only a few hours of play, lol.

The download took me about 6 hours to complete, and from what Hitoshura said, I had a good speed going. It seemed to slow down the closer it got to completion. I tried searching for alternative ways to download the client through a Torrent, but I couldn't find any. Good luck if you try.

I feel so very, very lost. I tried looking up the game menu/etc online to try and figure out how to change things, but they've changed the layout since the Korean ones I've found. Atleast I managed to make the game look a little better.

Any idea how to hide the UI for screenshots? Trying ones from other games and nothing so far. Google hasn't helped either.

Nevermind, found it. I swear I had tried it, but a help thing popped up that said CTRL Z so I hit it and ta-da!

I'm really liking this so far. I love that all attacks can be AoE in a sense. Is it in the path of your weapon? Yes? Then it gets fucking hit!

Very pretty game and not that demanding on the video card either. I don't even have things turned fully up and I get very minimal skipping(which I think is mostly loading in NPCs in town areas.)

I'm stuck on some quests, though. Two of them I see the things I have to do, but no idea how. Practice wood dummies that I can't seem to attack and some treasure chests just laying around
