Media outlets just need to get over the fact that once you release something, it's up to the customer to pay if they want to or not. Me recording a TV show and watching it later or catching it on the net is no different, odds are I'll fucking fast forward through ads or go take a piss and get a sandwich. I could just as easily keep that recording forever or no doubt find a stream even if the main distributors drop it once DVD sales hit. And speaking of DVDs, am I pirate if I go watch a DVD a friend bought, either at their place or borrowing it? No? Well, fuck off with the threats, law suits, net throttling, or whatever.

In short, if they wanna release shit, expect shit for profit. Fans will buy things if they think it's worth it, as a shelf of DVDs is perhaps a bit more practical than juggling multiple hard drives, making a good PC/TV set up, and so on. That might change in the future, but for now, HD media is a definite data hog.

hotfile is complete shit now; they proactively delete anything they decide is copyrighted, within a few hours-days. rapidshare has been shit for years.

I think because filesonic and oron are still one of the few (or many) that still pays the uploader $x for every xxxx downloads their file gets and porn is probably the easiest kind of file to get downloads. Hotfile used to be the best till they clam down and turn to shit.

Megaupload is still the best storage/sharing site in terms of wait time, daily limit and download speed. There might not be as much porn on Megaupload as filesonic and oron but there are huge archives of TV shows/Movies on it (check out Icefilms.info) and once hollywood clams down on Megaupload, it's gonna be a sad sad day.

I don't think there is any storage site out there that is as good as MU from a leecher's standpoint.

I don't think megaporn pays uploaders so people don't upload much porn on it and the megaporn/video part has like a 30 min restriction when there are other FLV site that have unlimited usage.
