Beach Boys are better, and youre wrong to think otherwise.

Brian Wilson > all
Unfair comparison. Beatles had a much longer career, and I doubt that most of us reading this forum were even alive when a poll like this would have been based on actual impressions of the band entities.
I do love me some Kokomo, however.
No, I'm pretty sure The Beatles kick the shit out of The Beach Boys any day.
GTFO with that Beach Boys shit
I'll take post-Sgt. Pepper Beatles vs. the Beach Boys in any era, including the John Stamos 80s incarnation.
its like none of you know what brian wilson is/was capable of. makes me sad
BB ftw
What is the world coming to.
Apples to Apples?
Why bother to make a distinction?
Both bands have their merits.
No, I know what Brian was and is capable of, I have heard some of his material post BB. Just doesn't match up in my opinion. I will admit though, his solo album "Gettin' in over my head" was decent
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gettin%27_in_Over_My_Head but yeah...
These guys:
Love the Beach Boys but saying they're better than the Beatles is laughable. OP IS WRONG.
Without the Beatles' innovations to music you wouldn't have Pet Sounds and without Pet Sounds you probably don't get an ambitious string of albums starting with Sgt. Pepper's.
Also the Beach Boys formed earlier than the Beatles and broke up long after. They're amazing, but nobody compares to the Beatles. They put out 1-2 albums every year for nearly a decade and every one of them is a classic.
Most genres of rock music wouldnt exist without the influence of The Beatles.
Protip: I fucking hate the beatles.
He was in the beach boys?

god damn amateur .. the correct question is "rolling stone or the beatles?"
What with all the old white people music in here?
IMO, Good Vibrations is the best song that either band has put out, but the Beatles have some that are pretty damn close (Hey Jude, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds). Beatles also have 9 albums worth of gold and more hits than the Beach Boys. For what it's worth, Good Vibrations is #6 (higher than the highest Beatles song) on Rolling Stones 500 Greatest Songs of all time.
The two bands were musical rivals, they both inspired each other and were better for it. Sgt Pepper and Pet Sounds are like #1 and #2 Greatest Albums all time.
Carl Wilson is a boss though, RIP.
