I thank you all for your advice and participation in the thread. She will be at my house tonight so I hope to have some words with them. It is really hard to speculate what is going through their minds because he is the type of guy that just has such a genuinely good soul that he feels its his responsibility to raise it and throw away the rest of his life. She seems so obsessed with him that she thinks they are in this crazy true love that people only see in movies and read in books. I dont really see anyway of convincing them this is a bad idea but tonight I am going to go for it.

You know anybody else with a baby? Make your friends spend 24hrs with them. Once they learn having a kid is a real job and not something that ends (like babysitting), they might think twice. The constant crying made me so glad I was an uncle that could give the kid back when I was bored. I don't think I could handle it full-time.
