Reso isn't actually that bad if you get over epeen gear and actually wear Twilight Mail in the body slot. The 25 ACC does wonders.

I was playing around with MS sets for Upheaval/Reso, Reso came far ahead even with just a Jingang sword.

I know Reso owns for MS. I was talking about regular things like Nyzul.
Dont think you need Twilight mail for anything beside alima/rex assuming Ragnarok99 but I would use Ukon there anyway.

In voidwatch my resolution average on drk pretty much destroys every other job, so I could see it being the top weapon on war if capped pdif. Is generally anywhere from 3.1-3.6k on anything but Botulus rex.

Pretty much this. Alos assuming 6 hit this and Ukon outside of VW you are looking at probably even DPS (Ukon 6 hit build have more DA,att,acc but Ragnarok has +10%Crit rate assuming 99 has+13% and -3% from claymore grip) and higher WS frequency because of lower delay.

You shouldn't try and convince people Ragnarok is a better weapon than Ukon when you're not using mighty strikes, it's not very nice and someone might believe you, especially when it's probably not even better with mighty strikes.

Im not trying to convince anyone. I would rather like to see someone serious showing with proof, that I am mistaken. You might also wanna know I have 99 Ukon and no Ragnarok in case you maybe think I praise my toy.
In event like Nyzul I honestly cant think how Ukon could pull ahead. Maybe with Embrava when you have 300TP ready to throw after the non-fight floors but otherwise you are looking at:

Ragnarok even or slightly better DPS
Ragnarok slightly higher WS avg
Ragnarok better WS frequency
Ragnarok hidden 16% 2.5x DMG vs 30%ODD (which should even out w/o embrava since you will need to fight a little w/o aftermath up.

So where I did mistake?

Oh btw going back to Twilight body and accuracy - Resolution with 99Ragnarok has around 20+ accuracy more than Ukko with 99Ukon.

Dont think it was tested at all. It was just a question/guess by someone who logically tried to conclude something.

For a roaming low def event like Nyzul, I could see ragnarok pulling ahead quite easily if not cleaving.

Quick question here... I just got the AF3 +1 Body for SMN. How does this compare to the Relic Body for Physical BPs, and an augmented Royal Redingote (+7 M.ACC, +7 MAB) for Magical BPs.

+7 MAB vs 5% Bloodpact damage, I don't see how you have either option winning over it. And +2 the body and use that.

Right, I tested it and the bonus didn't carry over. The sample size wasn't big, but the result was pretty obvious.

Excluding Empy (since I'm really not up for more Abyssea), what would be the best sword combo for BLU? I have an Isador lying around and I made a PDT Shimshar, but I'm wondering what would be the best general DD combo.

WoE sword looks pretty easy to take to at least 90 (and would give access to CDC, dunno if it's worth it). I wasn't playing very much when the occ. attack twice/occ. attack 2-4 times/dbl. attack+11 weapons were introduced, so I have no idea which of the 3 parses better....

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated :/
