It gives as much TP as subbed meditate, which isn't insignificant when you're not meleeing, and can often cut off a hit when you are, depending on how much haste you have and if you get hit.

All of that works in addition to the earring, and you can't help with or stun while you're sleeping.

In addition, the earring has saved me a hit on a WS countless times, when things like meditate, getting hit, or even tactical parry (haha) have an effect. I consider that at least close to a +5% damage on Torcleaver for DoT, enough to make getting the earring for utility as well worth it.

Honestly, if I'm with a full alliance in Voidwatch proccing is kind of a non-issue unless all the WSs get shifted to melee. It seems like every other WS I do is from a wing.

Looking to finally drop my Tamas ring and get a Rajas, and was wondering what I could replace Tamas with for my mage jobs. I have all mage jobs leveled to 90+ and was hoping for just 2-3 rings that I could share among them. The item sets on FFXIAH all are either silly (all +MP) or extremely outdated. I'm kinda looking through the "Show your gear" thread in media, but I thought I could get answers here faster.

I do not need wind/singing skill for bard, I can cap all my songs pretty much naked atm with my 90 Gjallarhorn (should have it 95 next week). I have Balrahn's and Omega rings already.

Any +5 or above stat rings replace Tamas, just -inventory. Dark rings work for MP (it's 10 less and doubles for many people's PDT/MDT sets), you're on your own if you care for the -3 enmity.

Optimal rings for all mages would be: 2 Aquasoul Rings, 2 Icesoul Rings, Evoker's Ring, Sirona's Ring, Fervor Ring, Omega Ring, Balrahn's (or Portus) ring, and 2 augmented Dark Rings.

If you don't want to be the best (like me), you could use:
* Evoker's Ring, 2x Diamond Rings (INT+3 and a smattering of MND), 2x Dark Rings, Balrahn's Ring, and Omega Ring.

I think you can honestly drop off the Balrahn's and Omega. Other than that, I'd put the first 5 rings as as the minimum for RDM, BLM, and SMN. My mule also has a Sirona's and 2x Nereid for BRD, but I haven't checked what his skill is relative to the song caps. What skill does Valor Minuet V cap at, again?

Yeah no.

Stop while you are behind, regain earring is for very situational players that don't use WSs that scale with TP. You are not one of those players since you have access to Torcleaver, drop it and redo it.

Primary stuff: WS% mainhand, TP Bonus offhand, Smiting Blow/Gales
Third Atma:
* Echoes + Zodiac Ring if it's Windsday
* Ultimate (multiple targets) any other day
* Golden Claw (one target) any other day.

fTP and Scholar: Furin Obi + Soil Gorget + Windstorm.

Anything past that isn't going to have a substantial impact on your AE.

Is the general consensus that Oynos Knife is best offhand for THF/DNC (and solo NIN?) if you aren't getting haste spell from somewhere else? No relic/twatmasher (yet) if that matters at all in this situation.

Maybe someone already asked that but i wonder ... fTP belt is the best for WS in any situation ? I try to figured if i keep ws with warwolf (yea seem lame) or the belt to enhance fTP like snow belt ?
