I think they changed the name of this - I remember it had a different title initially, because it came up right when Cavill was announced as the new Superman in the reboot.

Just saw the world premiere of this last night at the Nokia Theatre.

The 3D wasn't overused like in some movies...I would say it is ok. Overall a good action movie though it takes a bit of time for the action to really pick up.
    Spoiler: show

The Gods are pretty bad ass in this movie and the way they moved during fight scenes was exaggerated a bit, but it still left a smile on my face

Saw Henry Cavil out in the lobby after the movie and thought he would be a little more bulkier due to filming superman but he looked pretty skinny to me. Also random Wayne Brady sighting as well.

He's pretty damn buff from the superman spoiler leaks I've seen. There's some shirtless ones of him looking like the hulk.

I just got to see this movie as well, a preview showing my husband won free tickets to. I really quite liked the effects, nothing over the top but seems to work quite well. We didn't see it in 3d, I've kinda gotten tired of the whole 3d gimmick >.> Poseidon was my favorite.

Its been like 25 years since I remember reading anything with Theseus, but I always thought he was more brains than brawn, outsmarting the enemies to win. That being said, not real excited about the movie. Even if my memory is totally wrong, something just seems off about this, like a cheap cash in attempt on something.

Visually Tarsem Singh's stuff is just amazing, I will concede that The Cell was a lot more style than substance but for people who haven't seen it, The Fall is a really amazing movie.

I definitely want to see how he's grown as a director and how well he does with a bigger budget title like Immortals.

    Movie wasn't bad at all.
    Spoiler: show
Gods versus Titans scene with Theseus fighting Hyperion did it for me(and the rest of the theater apparently).

Minotaur fight, though predictable early in the movie (and pretty much from when you hear the name Theseus) made it for me, but I'm a fan of the stories of Theseus and Minoan culture

Just came back from seeing it:

    Spoiler: show
The good: Action was pretty good, 3D didn't feel gimmicky, sets and atmosphere were immersive. And Theseus was a likable character.

The Bad: Just about everything else...I liked the story as a whole, but the execution was terrible. Many many flaws in the story and characters pretty much ruined it for me (such as Hyperion's character in general, Theseus having the bow for like...5 seconds, the ill placed and executed sex scene...and so on). I think what pissed me off the most is that as soon as I heard the words "Gods" and "Titans" I was expecting some epicness in character designs, special effects, and an amazing last battle...instead I got some gods that look like they stepped out of an Abercrombie ad fighting some 3rd world tribesmen in 300 style combat.

Overall, I can't say I enjoyed this movie. I really wanted to like it and my hype meter was all the way up...but it just didn't deliver.

Pretty much the same as the above post. Liked the Theseus action scenes, but that's about it. Was really disappointed by the gods/titans especially.

I thought the perfectness of the gods was supposed to be due to the idea that previously gods had been depicted as old greying people and if you had eternal life and godly powers why would you be old and greying? I thought it was an interesting spin on things.

The movie was pretty terrible. The only thing that was the saving grace that didn't make destroy the screen was getting to Kellan Lutz shirtless so much as Poseidon. Oh, and Henry Cavil.

The story was awful. It was too scattered and felt all over the place. On the bright side, it looked pretty while being a train wreck. Way over hyped.
