The party members really got on my nerves. Seriously, they need to tone down the random chatter. Besides that, the demo was great.

Demo was too short ; ; Fun, but yeah, hopefully there is an option to turn off or at least town down the frequency at which the NPCs shout stuff out.
There is.
Tried the demo, seemed really fun. I wish this game was out on PC though since I got a sweet gaming one this year and I've been enjoying rpgs such as this on it very much. Playing with a controller feels weird.
Messing around with demo again and damn, the prologue mission is hella fun if you toss your companion off the ledge at the start and don't press the Pawn Stone thing. Soloing the chimera is fun as fuck. Almost definitely gonna run through the main game with just my main pawn with me, at least for a while.
So I got home last night. Downloaded the demo this morning and it took me an hour to make my first character because it's that big of a deal for me. Finally decide on a look and finish.
Fucking realize I have to make another for my pawn and I'm all like fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.
and then you will be incredibly disappointed when you beat the two levels in all of about 5 minutes.
At least he can transfer the characters over to the game if he buys them so he won't spend two hours remaking them.
I was expecting to spend a lot of time in creator but found that going outside of the presets for each detail generally makes the characters look totally fucked up and/or dumb.
There were a couple of things I went outside of the presets for, but generally I agree. That being said, I thought there were enough presets that it wasn't necessary for the most part. Noses were probably the worst of the presets, but it's always hard to get my nose on my character how I want it.
gotta always use your lantern in the night it's a part of the whole nighttime mechanic
I thought I was the only one irritated by the nose selection. Most of them were the same noses just different sizes. I wanted more of a rounded nose and that really wasn't in their selection. I'm hoping for more hair choices, but I won't hold my breath. If so it seems you can always go back and freely edit the look of your main and your pawn without paying five bucks (looking at you Whiteknight Chronicles).
Didn't even know there was a lantern. I feel foolish.
lmao it's literally the first thing the game tells you.
I have to admit, the demo was better than I thought it would've been, but I'm still not sold on the game. Might be a get it when it's on sale kind of game, it's just not getting it's hooks into me.
Demo was a bit of a dissapointment. Was expecting more from the gameplay but I'm sure it will grow on me eventually. Maybe just spoiled from the amount of Dark / Demon's Souls I've played recently which has next-to flawless gameplay imo.
It just seems that every Western RPG / JRPG/Western hybrid sticks with the same gameplay mechanics, Kingdoms of Amalur and The Whitcher 2 were all fairly similar and DD seems to follow the same pattern, the souls games seem to be the only Action RPGs that break the mould.
Seriously what is going on in that post
