If you're comparing your parse as a lv78 with "good gear and 3 atmas" vs a "lv 90 with shit gear and 0 atmas"...you're not comparing whos good and not good. You're racing the tortoise vs the tortoise at that point. That's like having a playoff series between the two shittiest teams in the league to see who actually comes in last. If you want to compare yourself to a lv90, compare yourself to a lv90 with 3 proper atmas (though kinda pathetic how there are still people who dont have RR/AoA/GH) and see how far that godtier lv78 gear gives you over the lv90.

Considering how retarded the average player is, I find Draylo's claim to be reasonable. I think the gimp thread has proven time and time again that there are level 90 players with abyssmal gear, skill and atmas.

Yeah, I'm going to have to sit with Bigsyke and Draylo on this one. 78 with gear and 3 Atma is joke-y damage, but if you're in a pickup Abyssea alliance it may be less of a joke than the other "DDs."

This all started though because they posted a lv78 mnk in aurore and some random AH junk, who probably abyssea mooched from 30 onwards to begin with...but that once again doesnt refute my claim, saying that their lv78 in top tier gear and atmas could outparse a lv90 with utter garbage and 0 atmas (and I still doubt they'd demolish them like they're claiming) is like gloating about beating a blind man at [sport/game/whatever].

With the right atmas, food, gear, temp items, JAs, and high/capped skill; a level 75 can easy out damage a level 90 with none or terrible atmas, not using food, with terrible gear, not using temp items, half-assedly or not using JAs, and underleveled skill.

Use RR, GH, Horned beast (for acc); squid sushi for one handed DDs, pizza for two handed DDs; use the most optimal sub (sam for two handers, war for one handers); keep capped skill and preferrably merited; gear like you're at level 75, not 90; use the god damn stalwarts tonic and champions tonic because they're free; and keep your JAs up as well as hold them on a chest or npc or something when there isn't another mob at camp. If you can do that, out damaging a sub-par 90 is <Easy Prey>.

A bit contradicting no? You are saying you can see its possible but want proof? I didn't have a hard time dealing respectable dmg in dom ops pts when I was 75~ on my jobs. If you had good gear at 75 and 3 atma you shouldn't have much of a problem out DDing a gimp ass mnk that uses a +4 str belt to tp in and piss poor gear who probably doesn't even have atma. I'm confused how its so hard to believe.

That aside, I was under the impression it was a comparison between a level 78 player and a half-competent level 90 player (I.E at least 1 atma, and some half decent gear). I was saying That I Could see it happening if the 90DD was really awful. But my impression was the 90DD wasn't going to be Retard level, simply mediocre at best for 90. My disbelief was in a 78 out-DDing a half-compitent 90, not in my Disbelief a 78 could out DD a fuck-awful powered-to-90 No skill no atma gimp fk.

A 78WAR with Apoc/RR/SS-GH could more than likely outdamage most other players in pickup XP parties. If you've got a 75WAR lying around and atmas, go see for yourself. Between BLM that can't sleep anything or nuke anything, every DD there wearing full perle or aurore and more than likely skilling up a shit weapon this is easily possible. Being level 90 doesnt give you a 60%crit rate or make you super awesome in abyssea unless you have atmas, and most people don't.

I'd even wager that WAR could outdamage everyone besides another WAR running the same setup and Emp. users. Seriously, think about what it was like xp'ing with your crap jobs when Visions came out.
