Provenance Watcher could use some changes such as drops:


Direct Drop Only
Adamas (9.7%)
Plenitas Virga (65.7%)
Sanus Ensis (59.6%)
Drachenhorn (9.1%)
Hyaline Hat (6.3%)
Tessera Saio (??)
Fortune Stone (69.5%)

Ammo
lv99 Fortune Stone
Augment:Red alignment+ 30~50

lv99 Fortune Stone
Augment:Yellow alignment+10~25

lv99 Fortune Stone
Augment:Green alignment+10~25

Forune Stone in loot can have a random augment such as +10/15/25 or +30/40/50.

Arch Provenance Watcher
(Has 50,000 more HP)
(Can do 25% more damage)
(Can do 100% more damage after 50%)
(Fight will require everyone lv15 x3 atmas upgraded)
(Only 2 Abjurations can drop at a given time)
(Entry will require Provenance Watcher dead)
(After 50% all his attacks 1,400~3,300)
(-50% damage taken is required)
(Earth Crystal Fetters will add -50% damage taken on boss)
(Can summon 2 Adds after 99%/40% that will last 5mins and despawn)

Okay, reviving this thread for a moment to bring you this:

If DDs had 4k+ HP each you guys would still cry about Taru lagging behind, and would still assert that you're right and I'm wrong despite all of the many successful Taru players out there who understand that it's not about your max HP, it's how you use what you have to work with to accomplish your goal. You can throw hypotheticals at me about how inefficient this or that is, but at the end of the day all you're doing is soapboxing about your opinion and why exactly everyone should listen to you.

Personally, I'd love to respond to how Ironic and idiotic this post is, especially the part about "Soapboxing about your opinions" When It themself is probably soapboxing more than anyone in the entire thread. I mean, Its petty understandable the differences between races are miniscule and pretty irrelevant at best, but... I just want to punch this person. IDK Why, I just want to punch them so hard.

I mean, point for point, Taru are generally the worst DD, I mean, Its probably by like 1% (And even maybe not in that since their DEX is at/around average, which is above Galk/Elv by a bit)... buts true HP is their biggest downfall... I just... Hrrrrng.

PS not saying Taru suck or are incapable of doing the same things most races do, Love you guys :D (I'd reply to the thread myself but my account is inactive cause I no pay)

Reading this, it just made me realize something I do unconsciously. With KKK, I prefer to have lvl2 aftermath ws at around 280% - 299% if I want my SP have higher dmg. I get better WS numbers with aftermath lvl2, wich gives around 80 - 90 more attack, putting me over 700 attack with WAR sub. Dunno if that is relevant to what u guys are saying.

Not that the guy has no clue what he's talking about, but strictly speaking about Stringing Pummel damage, wouldn't ~90 attack be better than a couple extra hits in certain situations?

It always annoys me more when people are against spreadsheets even though they would submit to far more abstract scientific theories/mathematical models in real life, while FFXI is a bunch of code created by man.

Oh, it's Caketime. Yeah he's posted a lot of dumb shit in the past.

Also, Galkas actually have average DEX. The only exceptions to DEX are Mithra and Elvaan. Galkas have slightly below average AGI, INT, and CHR, and abysmal MP. I believe Motenten at some point broke down that if you ranked the stats in a number system all the sums were the same, but SE didn't consider that maybe not all stats are actually useful. All the stats Taru loses out on are useful in one way or another (STR, VIT, MND, HP). Nobody gives a shit about lower CHR. It gives like what, maybe 20 extra HP healed on waltzes and like 5 macc on songs?

For SP specifically? With PUP's lower H2H rating and the apparent attack penalty on the WS itself, I dunno, maybe?

When considering one's output as a whole? Absolutely not

There's probably not an attack penalty on Stringing Pummel. If anything, my tests allowed for a bonus more than a penalty. It's probably just nothing.

Checked anyway: Answer is yes and no. Yes in the sense that it about breaks even on Ig-Alima level targets, no in the sense that, as expected, your total output drops like a rock in the process

Also a tertiary no, because an ~perfect KKK PUP apparently has no place against things of that level with four songs, two rolls, and pizza+1

Edit: KKK PUP is actually quite a bit worse than I thought :l . Pretty average output even using Qilin as a target with average pickup buffs, pizza+1(acc pretty much never permits RCB), and perfect gear outside of HQ abjurations
