Dad of Light is better than it has any right to be.
The Good Place is a solid show. Feels short despite the 23 minute sitcom format but it is original and we'll written. Almost finished it in one sitting. Plus it has Kristen Bell.
Just finished watching What Happened to Monday. Pretty solid dystopian sci-fi. Lots of action and a good performance from the lead actress considering she has to play seven people.
I watched What Happened To Monday the other day, pretty great.
Bojack season 4 is up, RIP the rest of my day.
This movie was horrible. To each his own but it was laughably bad for me.
I've been able to watch about 4 movies a day at work for the past two weeks. Some good but mostly bad. Is recommend the following from Netflix:
Busters Mal heart
The imitation game
Experimenter
Shimmer Lake
The drowning
The village
Zodiac
Obvi the last two are throw backs. But they're solid for sure.
On the 9th episode and so far it's very good, but not the best they've done. Constant laughs but never quite the "omfg what are they DOING?" laughs from various parts of the earlier seasons. Also ep 6 has this inner monologue thing with a different animation that doesn't really come across as the right style for the show.
Still hoping for one of those omfg moments before the end though.
Edit: finished it, yeah it's good but I think the best way to put it is it's more enjoyable as drama than comedy this season.
Episodes 9 and 11 are brutal. I almost wished I hadn't been binging so I wouldn't have been desensitized to everything.
I thought the season so far (on episode 10) is the usual Bojack affair. It's always been a mix of drama and DARK comedy, pretty much every season ends dramatically rather than comically.
If you didn't think episode 2 was sad I dunno what to tell you. Episode 9 was also a gut punch like a mother fuck, god I missed this show.
been watching snowfall, pretty damned good.
Big Mouth??? Why did someone think about this?? I can't decide if it's horribly bad or so amazing, lol.
I've been enjoying it <,<
Just finished the first season, it could have ended two episodes early on a good note, bit the whole thing was a riot.
It's the usual American comedy but more interesting visually (the direction is slightly better than most comedy but still not great...it's a hand-drawn show guys, you can be more creative) of this style, but I like things like The League so this kind of humour works.
I think the best thing about this show is how pissed off people are about it. How dare you take the piss out of events that literally every person has gone through and experienced in some awkward way! The only thing that worries me is that people these days are FAR too sensitive so being even a little edgy (which is this show in a nutshell) is suddenly the worst thing ever.
Anyone watching Mindhunters? I've been watching it the past two nights and have been enjoying it.
Nope. I'll give it a try though. I watched The Babysitter the other day, pretty good and laughed out loud more than a few times.
