Wow... that can't look good for lobbying firms and Republicans
I was just about to post that video Cantih. Here's a picture of it, instead.

Just read back up to the article you linked. I've gotta say, by the end of the third paragraph in that article, all I could think of was co-opt. For MSNBC to publish that, and create an almost clear divide with an obviously explosive memo saying "Democratic win in 2012 would be great for OWS and terrible for us", along with all the rest of it, even if it's 100% accurate it just reeeeeeeeeeeks of foundation work for an attempt to co-opt OWS. I could be wrong, but the impression just grew stronger through the end of it. That makes me incredibly wary.
Edit: An additional view of the UC Davis video, easier to see at least one other cop spraying students directly in the face towards the end of the line.

Open letter from an Assistant Professor calling for the immediate resignation of Chancellor Linda P. B. Katehi.

Fucking rofl. Chancellor addresses the campus at large, justifying the blatant brutality used in evicting the protesters in the name of "health and safety concerns". It almost seems like she wants to try to ignore it happened and hope it goes away. I feel like I'm in an episode of the fucking Twilight Zone.
Apparently this rallied together like the entire campus, and part of the town, even among all the people originally against them, and they have a plan for a big protest/rally on Monday.
End of the semester is making it difficult to keep as close of an eye on everything as was previously possible, so a minor catch-up would be appreciated. I've been told by several people that virtually all occupations are being shut down across the nation. Any truth to this? I assumed something was going on, but that it was being severely exaggerated by the persons on question.
Good piece on the co-opt of OWS brought up:

They were just sitting there doing nothing
only if it's point blank in the face
Not important to the big picture but...
some art for the renaissance.
As we previously reported, Hov is selling Occupy Wall Street themed t-shirts with the words "Occupy All Streets" emblazoned on them through his Rocawear clothing line. The problem protesters have with Hov is his unwillingness to donate any of the profits from the $22 t-shirts to their cause.
The latest shot fired from OWS aimed at Jigga is a sculpture by Daniel Edwards. The piece depicts Hov wearing chains and a dollar sign around his neck, with Richie Rich on top of his head along with notorious cheapskates, Mr Burns of The Simpsons and Scrooge McDuck.
“I think Jay-Z has made himself a face of [the] Wall Street that Occupiers are protesting against,” said Edwards. “Maybe Jay-Z is striving to be in the one percent? Which is why I chose the composition of a totem pole because I thought it would resemble the number one. Rap stars who turn ‘Scrooge’ have to suffer some damage to their street credibility.”
Not sure if posted yet:
Usually can't stand listening to Glenn Beck's liberal twin but that was a well researched rant. Not that I can stand listening to Glenn Beck, but yeah.
I said in one of my first posts all OWS has to do is not make mistakes and do stupid shit and the Government will end up protesting for them. Wonder what will happen next.
Some occupy groups are trying to get Wal-Mart employees to strike on Black Friday... now that would fuck shit up...
That depends entirely on how much any of this is reported and how much people actually care.
Oakland did a wonderful job of tempering what little sympathy most uninterested observers had by provoking police in the first place. Now, any time someone brings up police brutality at Occupy, you have to qualify it with a disclaimer that 'No, the protesters really didn't throw rocks or bottles or scream profanity at the cops this time. Promise'.
Holy shit that Olbermann video was awesome.

I can't believe how little people know on my facebook. Every day I see something similar or worse with 500likes and a billion shares. I really wish people would educate themselves on the subject before they bashed it. Everyone is so ignorant towards it and stubborn.. its like, here, watch this youtube or read this page and all I get is "NO WAY I SAW ON FOX EARLIER THOSE HIPPIES THROWING VINEGAR AT COPS AND PUTTING COPS IN THE HOSPITAL GO BACK TO WORK"
