how would you decorate this room?

So my two awful roommates are moving out next month and taking their filthy messes, retarded guests, and horrible things like beer pong with. I will finally have a chance to set up my basement like a grown man would but since I am not a grown man I would like some ideas, suggestions, or advice. Here are pics of what my basement looks like. i plan on getting all new furniture and shit so throw out any ideas and suggestions you can think of

Well it depends on what you want to do with the space. Are you planning on turning it into a Home Entertainment center, a Man Cave, or just a nice area to relax and chat with guests?

From the looks of what is currently residing in this room, you're not going to afford anything that constitutes "decorating" unless you're going for that "I find everything I need at Goodwill/SalvationArmy" look... or you just happen to be a skilled carpenter by trade.

Step one would defiantly clear out all the stuff that you don't want to keep in there. That way you can get a better idea of what you can do.

budget is like 2 grand. i will prob hold on to the couches and chairs just to see what i can do with them. i am looking for ideas on what all of you would do, how you would lay out the furniture, what you would put in the space, etc.

That is actually what I want to do, under the blue tarp is a drum set, which will be getting moved to one of the vacated bedrooms. but outside of that one corner idk what else to do. it used to be a stripper pole, but the stripper pole has been retired

i will post pics of the place clean, along with some dimensions when i get home, i am at work and was bored so i had my roomie send me pics so i could make this thread
