As someone who is engaged to a UNC grad, this troubles me. I knew about all the football stuff but if this starts hitting the hoops program, things are going to get ugly in Chapel Hill, and also in my apartment.

It's going to affect the basketball program. The African Studies department was something like 58% athletes, largely football but also basketball, and 54 classes were either just entirely made up, or the athletes were able to get Bs without turning in any assignments.

I feel sorry for the athletes that were earning their degree, and the students and fan who had no knowledge but will forever be tied to this. At least the arrogant annoying UNC fans can't ever turn their noses up at everyone else.
