Each of those were done to Cerberus from full HP (one swing perhaps). The range is quite exaggerated for a single swing. That also doesn't explain why some Spirits Within are receiving a positive bonus while others receive a negative bonus.

    Looking over the logs:

    Code:
    [21:24:51]Yugl uses Meikyo Shisui.
[21:24:53]Yugl's Meikyo Shisui effect wears off.
[21:25:03]Yugl starts casting Stoneskin on Yugl.
    [21:25:13]Yugl casts Stoneskin.
[21:25:13]Yugl gains the effect of Stoneskin.
    [21:25:18]Yugl uses Third Eye.
    [21:25:22]Cerberus is out of range.
[21:25:22]The Earth Elemental starts casting Enstone.
    [21:25:26]Unable to see Cerberus.
[21:25:26]Yugl hits Cerberus for 5 points of damage.
    [21:25:27]Yugl readies Spirits Within.
    [21:25:29]Cerberus misses Yugl.
    [21:25:29]Yugl uses Spirits Within.
[21:25:29]Cerberus takes 984 points of damage.
    Code:
    [23:13:46]Yugl uses Meikyo Shisui.
[23:13:48]Yugl's Meikyo Shisui effect wears off.
[23:13:56]Yugl starts casting Stoneskin on Yugl.
    [23:14:02]Yugl's casting is interrupted.
    [23:14:04]Unable to use job ability.
[23:14:07](2*) You must wait longer to use that ability.
    [23:14:07]Yugl uses Third Eye.
    [23:14:11]Cerberus is out of range.
[23:14:12]The Hilltroll Red Mage starts casting Blink.
    [23:14:15]Yugl is drawn in!
    [23:14:16]Unable to see Cerberus.
[23:14:16]Yugl hits Cerberus for 11 points of damage.
    [23:14:17]Yugl readies Spirits Within.
    [23:14:19]Cerberus misses Yugl.
    [23:14:19]Yugl uses Spirits Within.
[23:14:19]Cerberus takes 839 points of damage.
    Code:
    [23:26:08]Yugl uses Meikyo Shisui.
[23:26:09]Yugl's Meikyo Shisui effect wears off.
[23:26:09]The Hilltroll Red Mage starts casting Enfire.
[23:26:14]The Hilltroll Red Mage casts Enfire.
[23:26:14]The Hilltroll Red Mage gains the effect of Enfire.
    [23:26:21]Yugl uses Third Eye.
    [23:26:22]Cerberus is out of range.
    [23:26:26]Yugl is drawn in!
[23:26:26]Yugl hits Cerberus for 11 points of damage.
    [23:26:27]Yugl readies Spirits Within.
[23:26:29]Yugl parries Cerberus's attack with his weapon.
    [23:26:30]Yugl uses Spirits Within.
[23:26:30]Cerberus takes 815 points of damage.
Those are the 1970HP Spirit Within tests according to the damage I posted and the logs. Two of them have the same HP taken and the damage done increases as his HP increases (Opposite of the effect you posted).

I think there's an element of random against Cerberus, despite Spirits Within and Nether Blast doing fixed damage. One or two Nether Blast did 5xx damage even when Cerberus was low HP.

If you were receiving the 500DMG effect during the 700DMG "phase", then the effect isn't moonphase or HP at least. Our best bet is to calculate the range of modification (If you QD Cerberus on COR using a non-resisted element, I can find his MDB). Clearly, this modification will range from a negative to positive bonus. However, I would like to try two people using spirits within to see if we can check damage against him with respect to vanadiel game hour or so.

99% sure it does, I remember people mentioning it when it was new. Worth getting a second opinion on that, I've been wrong lol.

I was a little too distracted to do anything precisely quantitative, but it looks like Decoy Shot only transfers CE.

Main and mule have equal hate (Decoy Shot up on the main), main /ras a monster and the monster goes to him. After a few seconds, the monster turns around and goes back to the mule.

I can confirm this. It's probably lost in an update thread ages ago, but this was my initial result when I tested it upon implementation.

Apparently, Spirit Link can remove Doom. <,<

I was doing Kalasutrax, and my wyvern would survive Yama's when I spirit linked right after. But I thought maybe it just missed or something. So I went out to abyssea vunkerl, and found myself a Taur to Doom my wyvern. Got him doomed, spirit linked with no gear and waited. A few mins later wyvern was still alive.

So, spirit link removes doom, and doesn't require any gear to do so.

I want to say that Spirit Link removes any status ailment like a super Vicar's Drink and AF3 hands just increase the # of ailments it can remove. I've seen it remove Petrify, Bind, Elemental DoT, Gravity and Amnesia. I don't know if Spirit Link removes more ailments with level or if AF3 enhances which debuffs it can remove but I've yet to see a debuff that SL won't remove.

Hmmm, should try getting him kaustra'd. XD Thenmain issue is, unless a Debuff is a DoT, or prevents movement/actions, it can be hard to tell whether he still has it or not.

Kaustra is an invisible status similar to helix and meditate. Just like meditate can't be dispelled and helix can't be erased(it doesn't give a status ailment) Kaustra too probably can't be removed as it doesn't give an icon/ailment.

Here's a poorly made video I saw on youtube that shows the HP down icon. 3:33 or so. Colibri casts meteor around 1:50 if you're bored!

Seems Weapon Bash's damage is: FLOOR((LV+11)/4)

If this is blunt dmg as wikis suggest, we should be able to use this to approximate blunt damage resistance and bonus much easier.

Edit: The base damage bonus from equipment (Onry tested Chaos Hands) applies before all other modifiers (ex: PDT). So if you bash a mob with 50% PDT and the damage before equipment is 20, you'll do 15 DMG instead of 20 DMG.

Edit 2: Damage is subject to PDT reduction (Tested via Ballista). Added images to the link.

Weapon Bash's damage depends on the Dark Knight's level. If DRK is subbed, your damage will depend on sub level. I have images technically saved, but I'm looking to reorganize my FFXI tests folder for better organization.

This makes our testing tools avoid parses for non-H2H blunt and piercing damage. All PDT can be discovered without parses using a combination of:
    - Tomahawk
    - Weapon Bash
    - 1k Needles

Missed it before but using aegis makes it very apparent that meteor is effected by mdt. At least the ones I've eaten which were KS99 B rex and KB. Once even ate 10 chainspell meteors from rex in a row for a total of like 10 dmg no fealty or displacers

    http://wiki.ffo.jp/html/644.html

JP Wiki has Garuda's Blood Pact Hastega being slightly better (153/1024) than Haste from Haste (Spell) and Animating Wail (150/1024).

Is this something we had known or should we test it?
