Irrelevant old monster now, but I remember a big discussion way-back-when about whether Pod Ejection off Proto-Omega was timed or TP-based. It's time based, it seems
Code:
[19:46:59]Proto-Omega misses Byrth.
[19:48:59]Proto-Omega readies Pod Ejection.
[19:49:19]Byrth uses Evisceration.
[19:49:19]The Gunpod takes 846 points of damage.
[19:49:20]Byrth defeats the Gunpod.
(He stood up for the first time)
[19:50:26]Proto-Omega readies Pod Ejection.
[19:51:36]Byrth hits the Gunpod for 54 points of damage.
[19:51:37]Byrth hits the Gunpod for 104 points of damage.
[19:51:38]Byrth defeats the Gunpod.
(He crossed 25%, I think)
[19:52:38]Proto-Omega readies Pod Ejection.
[19:52:59]Byrth misses the Gunpod.
[19:53:00]Byrth hits the Gunpod for 113 points of damage.
[19:53:00]Byrth defeats the Gunpod.
(Switched to OA2-4 single-wielded, fed TP like crazy. Still, 5 minutes later:)
[19:58:04]Proto-Omega readies Pod Ejection.
[19:58:20]Byrth uses Exenterator.
[19:58:20]The Gunpod takes 1617 points of damage.
[19:58:21]Byrth defeats the Gunpod.
(Turned around, screw having to stun TP moves, joke is on me though because he has some weak regain. 5 minutes later)
[20:03:22]Proto-Omega readies Pod Ejection.
[20:03:46]Byrth hits the Gunpod for 49 points of damage.
[20:03:47]Byrth hits the Gunpod for 64 points of damage.
[20:03:48]Byrth defeats the Gunpod.
(5 minutes later)
[20:08:51]Proto-Omega readies Pod Ejection.
[20:09:07]Byrth uses Exenterator.
[20:09:07]The Gunpod takes 1488 points of damage.
[20:09:08]Byrth defeats the Gunpod.
I was using the OA2-4.
30 minutes, assuming the initial two pods take <5 minutes you could assume another 5 pods for 7 total. That'd make about 15 ABCs, two crappy synth materials/AF1+1 items, and 2 more chips to come back. Considering how crappy and useless Homam is these days, I'd say it's not worth using the chips even if you have them.
