    @Martel:

16 as max damage is between 59% and 61% unmodified max damage, so 40% damage reduction.

40% damage reduction on a base damage 10 weapon would yield between 18 and 18.9 (floored to 18) damage for the 3.0 to 3.15 pDif range.

    So, 40% blunt damage reduction.

The spike at d27 for the piercing sample is interesting. I can't think of any reason why it would show up, given the attack ratio and lack of level correction. It represents damage right at the 2.25 cRatio cap, after factoring in damage reduction.

Max damage of 32 is 2.0 vs base damage of 16 (8 + 8 fStr). Relative to uncorrected max damage, that's between 73% and 77%. So, 25% damage reduction.

Crits would fall between 36 and 37.8 (floored to 37) for the pDif range of 3.0 to 3.15, which also matches.

I recall reading that someone found Morta to have crit%- awhile back. Well, I did bismarck x6 last night, and checked my parse.

Tp'ing in Claymore grip and rancorous mantle. Should have a min crit% of 18%(5%base+5%merits+5%rancor+3%grip)
    Code:
    Martel
Buff Crit/Non-crit Crit% Avg Crit Avg WS Buff (In)Active%
    + Champion's Tonic 63/427 12.86 % 239.43 1154.90 61.07 %
    - Champion's Tonic 8/305 2.56 % 217.13 801.12 38.93 %
Looks like a minimum crit- of -15%. I think it's probly more, as I doubt he's actually flooring my dDEX.

So needs more testing but it seems that jug pets (maybe other pets) have some odd damage reduction to breath attacks. So far only tested falcoor and gooey on balaur but both had a 87.5% dmg reduction that was seperate from there normal -dt (stout servant) and -bdt from atma for every element I could get him to do. Ie if I just had af3 legs it would do about 11% of what it did to everyone else. If I had another 30% bdt it would do about 7%

Which was ice, thunder, light, dark, and wind. Interesting side note some of the other breathes it uses at lower hp seem to do more than the 840 max thunder/ice do. Also the pets did not get 1 actual resist while the pcs I had lined up each resisted several times

Also side note has anyone seen it do a fire, earth or water based breath? And besides breaths is there anything else that would be good for testing sdt?

Edit: It almost seemed like it had a forced 1/8 resist everytime. Kinda weird. Might explain the lack of resists

Quick draw if you get enough magic accuracy. For NMs and mage mobs, you have to work out MDB, but because SDT works on a 1/2-16 basis, that's very easy to pick out if you don't get resists.

Edit: You can also test using skillchains while wearing an Obi if the mob has multiple resists.

    Fire > Wind > THunder > Light
    Ice > Earth > Water > Dark

So if the SC is light and the mob has fire and wind SDT, the skillchain damage will be thunder. You'll see a bonus with thunder obi, but not fire/wind/light obi.

I thought you meant mob SDT. You could probably brenner that tbh. Even though the damage formula changes, I doubt that you would miss a 1/2-16 reduction with that method.

Yeah the problem is no points and no one does that lol. Shame I can't just tribox for points

Interesting side note though... I tried playing with self destruct... and yeah mdt/mdb didn't change the dmg but bdt did... and just like the breath spells it appears that my pet kept getting 1/8 resists... until it finally got a 1/2. So I'm thinking for starters self destruct counts as a breath spell. And that either the jugs I used either have extreme resistances to breath spells and maybe have SDT to breath spells in general and I just didn't do enough to see a small resist on balaur. I'd say given the high bias to 1/8 resist it has to be extreme resistance enough to resist a bleh nm all the time. So it might just be so high that's why I didn't see any non resist. I'll check now but it's weird.

Edit: Ok only took like 40 breaths but finally got one that I'm sure didn't have dmg reduced more than what I got from stout servant. Guess I will need to do pvp since even an abyssea nm I seem to have capped resistance too lol

And certainly makes emnity testing using set emnity spells like cure 5/6 problematic and any testing done using those since the trait came out suspect

Using the more concrete testing found here: http://www.bluegartr.com/threads/108...=1#post5487202

Confirming the 40% DMG reduction for blunt (Non-H2H) against Botulus Rex.

    Images (See Damage Resistance):
    https://www.dropbox.com/sh/fjx49zv3m.../Weapon%20Bash

    Using Magic Pot
    - 37 Damage Normal
    - 55 Damage Observed
55/37 = ~1.5x increase in damage (Thus, Non-H2H Blunt damage)

    Using Botulus Rex
    - 35 Damage Normal (LV89 + Chaos Hands)
    - 21 Damage Obvserved
    21/35 = 0.6, so 40% damage reduction

Tested PDT and Damage Type (Piercing, Slashing, etc) using Weapon Bash and Hahava.

    https://www.dropbox.com/sh/fjx49zv3m...e%20Resistance

    Damage Expected: 37 (LV99 + Chaos)
    Initial Damage: 23
    Post-Raksha: 46
    Post-Yaksha: 23

Seems as if he popped with Yaksha up; how common that is, idk.

This seems to indicate that Damage Type (Piercing etc) is after mob PDT.

Using the Raksha info, we see that he takes 25% extra damage (Similar to Skeletons) normally: FLOOR(37*1.25) = 46

    If PDT before Damage Type:
    (37 * 0.5) = 18.5 (18 Floored)
    (18 * 1.25) = 22.5 (22 Damage Floored; and not the correct damage)

    If Damage Type before PDT:
    (37 * 1.25) = 46.25 (46 Floored)
    (46 * 0.5) = 23 (Correct Damage)

Thus, PDT applies before Damage Type bonus/reduction

Also found Chukwa to have 80% PDT and Uragnite's "Peek-a-boo" stance to be 75% PDT using Weapon bash.

Hahava always pops in Yaksha. I always started out using requiescat on him, then switched to Chant when he raksha'd. Interestingly enough, Raksha MDT does work on Requiescat, despite it being non-elemental DMG. I thought it ignored Shell/MDT etc.

I've guessed that Requiescat and similar effects (Twilight) simply replace the PDT term with MDT and possibly removed the Damage Type term. That seems to concur with said idea.

Huh. I wonder if Aegis+Shell work on Req then.

.... For that matter, do shield blocks get applied to a non-elemental atk that still uses physical formulas?(atk/def, STR/VIT, ACC/EVA)

Sorry since DRG is my favorite job I like reporting new DRG findings.

-DRG Wyverns have 40% Subtle Blow at 99, according the to JP wiki and this has been verified and adjusted for dAGI.
-Wyvern delay is calculated by counting frames and is 318.
-Spirit Link Formula: (HP consumed + MND × 2 + alpha)
    (α = int wyvern level of about 0.7 ×)
(it used to not have the *2 part but SE doubled SL's potency back in the 02/14/2012 patch.)

I dont know where they got their source from but the JP wiki says there's official comment from SE at some point in the past where they said

According to the official comments of previous damage in total, Dragoon and wyvern damage ratio is designed to be approximately 7:3.
Although with strengthening the Dragoon itself via gear and merits, it's realistic to deviate up to 8:2 or even 9:1.
Too bad in practice it's more like 16:1..at least in VW or Legion

    Interesting stuff.

    Btw... Is there even a DRG wyvern page on BG wiki? I can't seem to find one. And I know we've got tons of info on wyverns. (I recall Yugl's HP testing, and our exp bonus hp tessting, for example.) It'd be good to get some of this stuff consolidated somewhere. There's a page on mobs pet wyverns, but not on player DRG wyverns. <,<;

I never made one because I was buying creating templates for other stuff we needed (ex: zones), but then became sidetracked.
