btw, are the pet DMG formula's known? I seem to recall them being different from player ones. Like back in the day when wyverns would be hitting kirin harder than players(non zerg strats)

For Wyvern melee? Nope. That's a difficult one to figure out. Wyvern elemental and healing are known though.
You could probably approximate it though I would think. Just keep hitting level 0's with weapons of various DMG values until it matches what the wyvern is putting out--should be able to get a ballpark value I'd think.
Ok, go test that.
And where is that info coming from?
From JPwiki:
回復量には竜騎士の現在HPとMND、飛竜 のレベルが影響し、計算式は以下の
Double post .
Not getting a formula from that statement. Just says based on DRG's MND + HP with Wyvern's level affecting the value (I assume that means places a cap for the HP). I'm curious as to how they found out the wyvern's level since tools to do so are limited.
Edit: Found the link http://wiki.ffo.jp/html/1897.html
The correct equation is ( Expended HP + MND + α ) × 2
Alpha = FLOOR(Wyvern Level * 0.7)
The post claims that the HP expended is random, so that's where the variability lies (25-30% HP); this should be VERY easy to test since MND is 2x expended HP tbh.
For some reason when I posted that last post it only posted the first line of the formula. You got the rest of it...but the page that I saw
had : (HP Expended + MND × 2 + α)
not
Expended HP + MND + α ) × 2
Google flips the formula. You need to look at the original JP page.
What is alpha?
(Wyvern LV * 0.7)
So 69 for LV99 they say.
Interesting I always felt that increasing Wyvern Max HP lent itself to increased SL's, but I guess I'll swap body to twilight now or something. Since they doubled SL's potency back in Feb, shouldn't really even need to utilize MND at higher levels since SL usually heals 900-1.2kish
Wow. JP wiki is kinda badass. There's a list at the bottom of the page with the various updates that have affected spirit link. <,<
Too bad I can't read JP and google translate mangles things pretty badly.
Seems to work properly. I used 10HP to receive consistent "Expended HP" values (25% and 30% of 10 will floor to 3). Both with high and base MND were the values correct. Even with loose tests, the values were within range or exact. Will upload images soon.

Edit: MND gear was Twilight Helm/Body + Aquasoul ring/earring 2x where equipment seen.
Hmmm. Could you actually confirm if/how much drachen armet affects HP drained like this? Same for Lancer vambraces.
The bgwiki says the Armet reduces HP drain, and the vambraces increase it(and wyvern HP recovered). But there's no source cited, and I've never seen any actual testing on it.
EDIT: Oh, there is a test cited on the Vambrace+2 page. Small one though.
Not easily lol. Basically, you set your HP to 100 and Spirit Link with Armet/Vambrace to determine whether the amount changes from the 25-30% listed. You could even test whether that is the actual range though. The question is how you're going to automate returning to 100 HP > Damaging Wyvern > SLing.
Edit: You could use other HP values, but using less HP is better because you quickly surpass the Wyvern's HP. With ((dHP + MND + 69)*2) and 88 MND, you're looking at 314HP minimum. You could reduce max level, but not by much if using Armet/Vambraces.
