No. Your brain should normally "correct" simple mistakes like that, and you'd read it as it should be, rather than how it is actually written. See typoglycemia, which although not entirely true, should still suffiently demonstrate the concept. You should be able to easily read the first paragraph given on wiki about as fast as you would normally read.

I have a tested WAIS Full-Scale IQ of 140+.

I read twenty or more books a year.

I know how to speed read.

I'm sure the reading trap speaks more to the reading habits people develop on the internet than anything else.
