It's a pain in the ass but you can download all of the ffxi files from SE directly, he just needs to take the 20 minutes to make a trial account and then the website will link him to the download. Might be able to access the downloads wwithout even making an account

Ah, this works even for expansion downloads? I was under the impression that the trial accounts only included access to the original game.

If the dude can't afford $20, should he really be coming back to ffxi?

It's not so much a matter of affording it as knowing that I'd seen it mentioned that it was a lot cheaper. I know people have talked about being able to buy the game for $5-$10, so there's no real reason for him to pay $20+ if that's the case. Plus he's in new zealand, so shipping easily doubles prices on any physical copies.

Easy enough, slime in gusgen probably the most difficult.

Extremely doubtful, tpb atma and weapons don't boost aftermath.

Lowest I've done them was with 8, PLD, WHM, BRD, BLM, SCH, WAR, SAM, SMN. I don't recommend it, and I suggest shouting for some filler to cover more procs / gain more kill speed, a lot of the fights were pretty shaky and would come down to the wire in time on the 2 T2 fights that had multiple forms.

City zones would mean windy/sandy/bastok I think, not 95+ content. Shouldn't have any issues with 6.

Me and some friends did it with 7 back at 90 (4 actual people +mules). We only had a problem with the slime in gusgen (which was mainly due to having no offtank; I switched to a melee after our wipe and we won with little issue), and we wiped one time to the marbol in passhow cause of missed stuns I think. None of the rest were that difficult to just beat.

there was none i lvled gs after the new ws came up unsless they did a mini update in bewteen(wich i dont remember) it still works the only issue is 140 gs is lowwww as hell, get at least 230 and move to mandies in aby-misa.
