36 SMN is insta-win!
We did Hall of Ki and Im with 5 summoners (two of them were mules). The basic idea was to throw one Perfect Defense per NM on a party of 4 melees under Embrava/songs.
In both halls, the first wave went down under 5 min, we even had to wait PD to wears off between mobs before applying a new one.
Alfard despite his Nerve Gas spam and Orthrus died without any major trouble. Apademak gives us a lot of problems without PD (Breakga everytime), we tanked it on the tail, Plague Swipe seemed more manageable than Tourbillon.
We were on the third wave with 7 min, it could have been 12-15 min if we had got a sixth summoner for Apademak I think.
The third wave was composed of Khimaira (wave 1), Hydra (wave 1) and the Mantis. Khimaira immediately did Fulmination on everyone upon aggro and just after the Mantis did Death Prophet. I'm not entirely sure if it necessarily need to do Preying Posture before each Death Prophet.
The second wave in Hall of Im was less friendly... Soaring Strigoi has a ton of HP (130k~ and I'm not even counting Nosferatu Kiss) Minax Glare and Shock Spikes slowed down the kill, PD was gone at around 40%.
Soaring Kumakatok does Memento Mori to instant cast something (generally Impact) and Gala Macabre, PD was gone at around 30%. His Regain is atrociously high.
We had a Shock Squall order (between 3 summoners) which was wonderful. Sometimes NMs were literally under stun-lock. I have seen a lot of resists on the normal stun magic though.
Shock Squall did worked on the Mantis four or five times before the first resist.
Spoiler: show
All of these NMs had between 90,000 and 140,000 HP.
No, we have lost too much time against the Apademak and Fulmination on the whole alliance upon the start had sealed any serious attempt for the third wave.
I forgot to add that Soaring Strigoi at 10%~ ran to the Pld holding Soaring Kumakatok and it was impossible to separate them till the Pld died.
Has anyone cleared a second wave yet?
Did you even read the previous two, or three posts?
Thank you Tachi, you gave me some real good ideas.
Oh I did miss where he said he made it to the third wave. The second wave info sounded so dire lol. But, let me rephrase my question. Has anyone cleared a second wave with any consistency?
Oh and nice try last night Lil. Sorry I was not able to stay for the debrief. Did you find where your strategy needed to be refined?
Ki is pretty easy to clear to third wave reliably; we did it on our first try and Tachi's shell on our server got there now as well. I don't think anyone's hit wave 3 on any other chamber yet though; I'm not even sure how it's possible on the SW chamber when he absorbs damage for 20-30s after a TP move (unless Stunning prevents him from absorbing damage? I'd love to know if that's the case.) Hall of Im is a mess too with the charms. An should be clearable to third wave though, but haven't tried it. Kinda waiting for the hp reduction on 18 man for our shell to start seriously trying to clear, but I'd bet Ki will be the first one to get fully cleared; I'm sure our shell can once that patch hits and looks like Tachi's shell can too.
Found a guy with Subjugator of the Veiled title on my server and he was bazaaring Mustela Brais, so those three sets are likely points items as we suspected.
Killed Mired Mantis and we had 11 min left after his death then Mired Hydra but timed out on Mired Orthrus at 25%.
Spoiler: show
"Subjugator of the Mired" gives access to new equipments in exchange of Legion Points. (Calma Gauntlets, Mustela Gloves, Magavan Mitts and Saviesa Pearl)
3000 points for each.
Awesome. I updated Saarlan's page, the individual pages, and the Legion Rewards page.
To bump what I said above, Veiled is probably the three Legs armors from those three sets, and one other accessory or some odd crap.
Are any of those hand armors the best for their slot for anything? I guess the FC ones are
FC are for some jobs, the STR/DEX/DA hands should be pretty prime for weaponskills.
Did anyone confirm the FC of the mitts from your group? Thanks for posting the strategy! Looking forward to trying it out after update.
We are missing about 1k points.
Hall of Mul (Sam+Smn duo on the test server)
Spoiler: show
They always remain in the center of the room surrounded by the four pillars, the zone is safe beyond the columns. They have a aggro range of about 15m but a link range of at least 30m.
Carby pull works in the sense that they don't automatically reaggro after his death and remains stationary for about 5 seconds but their link range is too huge.
They are obviously easy to kite but have spells like Graviga or Bindga and a very high Regain also. Super tank/kite will not work if Release is used or if an avatar dies. (edit : there is no such problem if the super tank/kiter is outside of the main alliance)
Soaring Naraka has 95,000~ HP and is under Yaksha Stance (PDT-50%) at the beginning.
