The end of salmon season means cheap fresh King Salmon and Sockeye. 21 and 16 bucks a lb respectively. Down from 35 and 28.
Finally got to try sous vide chicky again. Using the site Zet gave. Worked great and since you said I didn't have to thaw first just threw it in the bag it came in. Of course forget they put 2 breasts per package so they still got slightly welded together but with more appropriate cook times not as bad as well as not as conformed to bag shape. Still came out looking and smelling like ass with that congealed skin/fat but wiped that shit off and could eat just like that really. In fact I did with some pepper plant lol. Perfectly cooked inside. Thanks again Zet worked much better than the other times I got.

Chicken is honestly my least favorite protein in the sous vide. I'll only use it for cooking huge chunks of boneless skinless thighs for lunches throughout the week. I usually do two bags out of the three below.
Bag 1:
Seasoned Salt
Garlic Powder
Lite Italian Dressing
Bag 2:
Lite Soy Sauce
Garlic Powder
Few drops of sesame oil
Bag 3:
Pepper Plant Garlic Sauce
A (TINY) bit of apple cider vinegar
I just let em go for 2 hours or so at ~70.
They don't get gross because of the added liquid. I just open em, dump into a big bowl, grab one small thigh or two for dinner, and then shred/fridge the rest.
Yeah mostly just doing chicken for when I want to have easy cheap lean protein to use for the weak. I see this kind of as a time saver so I can just throw it into my chicken dishes I make thru the week and not spend the ridiculous amount of time watching it slowly cook on my stupid stove/in oven. Seriously cooked faster doing this then in the oven lol. But yeah if I had a bigger budget both money and calorie wise I'd be eating steak everyday lol

My favorite part is just the ease of use. Bag, protein, sauce/marinade/seasonings. Drop.
Go take a shower, finish some work, watch an episode of something.
Come back, take out, finish in pan or broil. Serve.
